Yesterday - Live Jazz - been a while since I wore this one so I wanted to bust it out.

Today - L'Artisan Al Oudh - holy ****. The opening on this smells like I've got 2 lesbians fingering themselves with my arms. And not young nubile ones either. Old, busted, flat top, tank top wearing, jean short cutoff wearing, croc wearing, bull dyke lesbos.

Cupcake - this would be right up your alley.

I know exactly what you mean and I had it reserved for winter but I'm trying to finish the bottle so I've been wearing it in the summer heat and I have to say it's really not taht bad. It's been moderate here in Toronto (15-25) and this one's been fine even as a day scent. I'm almost not looking forward to finishing it.

I bought White Patchouli yesterday as a replacement for Opium, couldn't have done it any better.

Today: Parfumerie Generale's Un Crime Exotique

This is one of my favourites (despite it getting a pasting from Turin and on LuckyScent). What can I tell you about it? Well, it's the closest thing I have to the lovely osmanthus that grows in my front yard. Sure, there's cinnamon and other things tasty, but it captures the almost eatable vanilla malt quality of this flower (Partum d'Empire, The Different Company, Hermes, all providing transparent offerings that are completely incongruent with my idea of osmanthus).

It belongs in a category I'd like to call "˜clever gourmand'. It's also a good one for those of you lamenting the loss of plummy scents like Cuiron. There's something reminiscent of a boozy gingery syrup that can be quite nauseating when sniffed at the wrist. Thankfully, the general public isn't two inches from your wrist. It projects well; much like the flower. It's gorgeous. Definitely one for some of you guys to try when winter hits.

Today - I made it a mission to wear a different scent to class each night (tues/thurs) and despite having a veritable herd from which to choose, I still got stuck and indecisive. So I went with Yatagan, which I hadn't worn since it was cold outside.

btw: t4 - any good sandalwood recs from your side of the pond?

Yatagan, although this afternoon I stopped in at Bering's to try the C&E Sandalwood. I am so glad I did not buy it blind.
