This evening: Custom Fragrance from Yosh Han.

Yesterday: PoaL and Géranium pour Monsieur. Both very good. The rose in PoaL is just great.

That is absolutely true.

Thank you for the tip. I shall try it out!

On subject of tuberose, Diptyque has a good one in EDP.

SOTD: MFK Oud

Thanks. I'll look into those scents as well.

Today: Montale Aoud Cuir d'Arabie. Speaking of the concept of "beautiful", there is nothing beautiful about this fragrance - tarry and astringent.

Are you enjoying it? When I first tried it, I was very disappointed, but I've come to appreciate it more.

Pre-shower: Fleur de Chine. I've had some time to get used to the new Atelier d'Orient series, and I think on the whole it's a big improvement over the Jardin Noir series. All four are very good. Shanghai Lily has grown on me some more. And Rive d'Ambre is just fantastic. It might be my favorite scent in its very crowded genre. I don't think I like any of the four as much as Cafe Rose from the Jardin Noir series, but the Atelier d'Orient series is better on the whole.

FOTD: Acier Aluminium. I was recommending this on Basenotes the other day. A guy--who's fairly new to fragrance--found it really weird. I've heard that from others too. Honestly, it doesn't seem that weird to me, but I suppose that if you're comparing it to mass market scents like Acqua di Gio or Bleu de Chanel, it would be a bit weird.

I had to warm up to it as well, but it fills a gap in my fragrance wardrobe and I too am coming to appreciate more with each wear.

I do enjoy it quite a bit. However i find it hard to detect on my skin. I have heard the silage on this is pretty subtle and the longevity pretty weak.

My colleague noticed it the second he walked into my office today so I guess that's real world proof that it does leap off the skin fairly well.

If I get decent longevity from this sample I could see myself picking up a 1 oz.

I need to try that one. Wearing MPeG Eau pour le jeune Homme tonight, because it sounds better than Eau pour le middle-aged Homme.

Would you crazy fools even believe me if I told you I switched into Lumiere Noire pour Homme for my eveningtime scent? Well you should believe me because it's true.
