Meh. I guess I'm not a big fan of florals. There was also sort of a baby powder thing going on too that I wasn't really crazy about. The TF Tobacco Vanille I liked. Definitely different than anything else I've tried. The vanilla might be a little too sweet though. My wife said I smelled like a cookie.

The Surrender to Chance order shipped too. I should have lots more to play around with next week!

Dior Homme gets a lot of love from the populace and critics, but I just can't get my head around it. I've smelled enough women's makeup and lipstick (around my cawk!!!) to find the smell of Homme to be pretty mundane.

Terre d'Hermes today, for the first time. Love it.

Went back to the local parfumerie today for the last day of their sale. I snagged this lot. Mostly testers, but all nearly full. Back L-R: Costume National Homme EDP, Cravache shave gel, Acqua di Biella No 1, Eau d'Orange Verte. Front L-R: Honore des Pres Nu Green, Acqua di Palma Colonia, Acqua di Palma Mognolia Nobile, Les Nuits d'Hadrien, Caravelle Epicee. Oh, and from the thrift shop nearby, 10 ml of Bvlgari The Rouge EDP.

Good score! Les Nuits d'Hadrien is one of my favorites - it's my go-to travel fragrance and I just recently ran out of it.

Agreed—nice haul! I like Caravelle Epicée a lot and have been stalking bottles on eBay for a while now, but have yet to pull the trigger...

SOTD: Azzaro Pour Homme. I just snagged a bottle of Chergui, so I'm wearing that this evening.

Tried on Bleu de Chanel this evening - what an unremarkable fragrance.

Wore that one today. Really enjoyed it, but it seemed to get pretty close to the skin after a few hours. Lovely scent though; the spice opening and the ambery dry-down is perfect for this weather we are having.

Sillage is important to me, as is longevity. Many a great perfume doesn't stay long. The exceptions for me, and therefore my staples, are L'Artisan's "Timbuktu", Acqua Di Parma's "Colonia Intensa", the old Drakkar Noir (so forgotten and yet nostalgic that I'm asked about it in the office) and YSL's M7.
