Stilettos on Lex is the name of the fragrance I am wearing today.

Today: Amouage Gold pour Femme - I have concluded that I like the female version of the Amouage line much better than the male counterparts. Anyone else like this?

Slumberhouse Sova today. I feel like I've taken up smoking again.

Like L'Inc was implying, there are so many ouds out there, and I think L'Artisan Al Aoud is stupendous and surrounded by different supporting ingredients. I don't know what you think about Kouros, but Dior Leather Oud is something to try.

The costus in Kouros is challenging to me (the unwashed hair/skin note...) I can deal with it in small amounts, but unfortunately—at this time—it's a scrubber in larger amounts...

Thanks for the tip on Dior Leather Oud—I'll keep me eye out for it. (It sounds like Al Aoud is a crowd favorite, so I'll definitely check that out at Aedes when I go back—)

I have just noticed you already have it! Oops.

I do love Ormonde Man... The oud note is so subtle it's really just a supportive element to the Hemlock accord. Which is just about the most I can take shog[1].gif...

SOTD: Late 60s Vol de Nuit parfum.

SotD: Havana by Aramis

This is an incredibly complex scent that I haven't worn for some time.

Regarding Leather Oud, Dior's site states this frag is only available in their las Vegas store and to call for availability. Does anyone know how much this one runs for the 4.2oz bottle?

If you are in London check out Shay and Blue they have only just started and opened their shop in Marylebone a month or two ago. It is run by Dom de Vetta with Julie Massé his perfumer. I have only used the Sicilian Limes though my wife has their Atropa Belladona. I am not an adventurous user of fragrance and Zizan from OJ and Neroli from C&S are my standard ones but Sicilian Limes is good for summer.

Not true - it's carried by both the Dior Boutique as well as Neiman Marcus here in San Francisco. That big 4.5 oz bottle is only $155. I just saw where they erroneously stated that on the website, though.

I've actually been impressed with much of the Estée Lauder/Aramis lines and have found most of them to be of excellent quality and construction. Too bad that in a culture that wants bigger! better! new! they are seen as a bit lowbrow or ho-hum...

SOTD: Derby.

Today: Eau Sauvage.
StephenHero's posts inspired me to experiment a bit. In a search for something new, I just got in a handful of samples from LuckyScent and am now slowly on my way to the Niche Scent Stratosphere.

Yesterday: Montale Aoud Lime. Reminds me of a Byzantine cathedral in Sicily.

Today: Niccoli's New York. Lasted about a minute on my skin.

Is the Jour d'Hermes a full bottle yet? It's such a lovely perfume full of sunshine.

Believe it or not, I'm still using that sample you sent me. It is almost used up, though, so I'm going to have to make a decision about whether to buy more. You're right, though, it is such a sunshiny, happy scent.

Jaipur Homme today. Really like this, and will probably wear it more now the cooler weather has arrived.
