There is a lot of truth in that formula!

The tagline that goes along with their marketing campaign is "Gimme danger, little stranger." That's pretty good.

Wouldn't it be better if it was "big stranger"? For your own personal edification, of course.

It's really one of those classic powerhouses.

Pre-shower: Oud Ispahan
SOTD: Mona di Orio Rose Etoile de Hollande.

Today's blind choice from the sample box: YS Uzac Metaboles. They promised me tomato leaves, licorice and black pepper. I smell mostly geranium; pleasant, though.

What do you think about this one?

It reminds me of a Webern symphony: it is complex and somewhat mysterious, yet completely lucid. It opens a lot like Guerlain Nahema, with bright aldehydic, peachy rose. But that light, airy texture is complemented by some darker, rougher spices, of which the most prominent, to my nose at least, is clove. Another note that's essential to this is geranium, which adds vibrancy to the scent. As it dries down, it becomes more powdery, but the powderiness never dominates.

Thanks L'Inc. Have you tried it enough to place it, or rank it, among your other roses?

Today: Oud 27 - Decorating the house, hanging the stockings with care and placed the star on the tree, so this woody, warm, and unique oud was perfect.

In terms of pure quality, I'd rank it very high. But in terms of how much I actually enjoy wearing it, I'd probably put it in the middle of the pack.
