Pre-shower: Angel. It's been a while since I wore this; I still like it a lot, better than the masculine actually.
SOTD: Une Rose Chypree.

tried out TFPB Cafe Rose and Lys Fume last night. CR was nice, but nothing too special. LF I think would make a lovely woman's fragrance.

I had to go with Knize Ten today as well, Thomas. I love the petrol/kerosene quality of this manly scent, which is more unique and higher quality than 99.99 percent of niche perfumes out on the market.

Meh, you could also just head down to the local Exxon and dab a few drops of the real deal on there. Would be much cheaper and if you do it while you're filling up anyway you could knock out two birds with one stone. Just make sure to watch out for open flames!

Ironically, I hated the big floral opening years ago, but now I've come to accept it as part of the evolution.

Fortunately, some Exxons have flower beds that you can roll around in.

Speaking of big floral openings, Iquitos today. I didn't used to notice the civet in this but now it's sitting there on top, plain as day.

Iquitos sounds interesting. How do you find the progression, Baron? I usually don't like "sweet" fragrances (if in fact the "grape crush" note that base notes reviewers have described is accurate...), but this sounds like it's got a lot of other things going on as well...

Not sure if I actually pull it off! All I know for sure is that I wear it sometimes.

I wouldn't call it sweet. It's a big lush rose, a little perfumey/aldehydic perhaps, which pushes it away from they typical masculine, but not sweet. It's also a bit spicy, green, herbal. It has a passing resemblance to Sa Majaste from Lutens.

Anyone by any chance a crazy Lalique flacon collector? Amazon.de cyber monday week tomorrow has the 2012 Lalique de Lalique éxtrait de parfum crystal "2012" flakon.

In case anyone, for whatever reason, is interested in it, I can proxy it to you. Although given the price you could also order it yourself. 8:15pm GMT+1 tomorrow.
Regular price is 1,199€ so anything from 450€ to 1,198€ is possible tomorrow.
