Lys du Desert for me today. This is the Andy Tauer scent that's part of the Decennial series celebrating Luckyscent's ten years in business. Anyone who's a fan of Tauer's style will want to check this out, as it's very much in line with his other scents. Very dry and sharp woods with an ambery sweet base.

I haven't bathed in three full days and applied Muscs Koublai Khan yesterday.

Too expensive for me but I suppose they're good.

@HORNS: So, you've slept on the couch for the past two days?

I just ordered a sample of L'air du desert marocain the other day, and I can't wait. I have some sort of mental hype built up about it that I'm worried will totally ruin the experience, but on the chance that it lives up to expectations, I have already noted down LdD.

This is one of the only things I've sniffed in the past few weeks that I have really disliked. I'll try it again this coming week, but it really came off as geriatric at my first testing - like decaying dentures and hospice care.

There's definitely a family resemblance between LDDM and LdD. Still, I can imagine someone not liking the former but still liking the latter. LDDM is quite heavy and dense, which some people don't like. LdD is much airier.

The true masterpiece of the Tauer lineup, IMHO, is Une Rose Chypree. It is exactly what the name suggests it is!

Also, MKK is really wonderful.

I'll keep that one in mind as well!

And there's no reason I won't do a total about-face on MKK, either, I suppose. My first impression was not pleasant, however. Probably more associative than anything.
