Additionally, after posting initially about how I wasn't sure about the opening of Oud Cuir d'Arabie but loved the next few hours, I've now decided that I need it in my life. I will probably have to buy a bottle. It's fucking incredible.

Everything I like just smells like sex to me.

Mi gusto mucho Aoud Cuir d'Arabie.

So what does "sex" smell like?

Apparently, a combination of salt, soil, dirt, fungus, incense, musk, and amber.

I had her smell it and I asked what she thought of it. That's when she said it was so beautiful. Only then did I tell her it was hers. She was very happy about it, which made me happy too, of course.

Lorenzo Villoresi Sandalo Today - My favorite Sandalwood fragrance. It reminds of the real Mysore sandalwood paste mixed with water.

I have tried MPG Santal Noble but it seems like an incomplete version of Heritage. Seems like Jean Paul Guerlain was finishing up the top and middle notes for Heritage and somehow a little Sandalwood got mixed with it.

I also recently tried Creed Bois de Santal but the Sandalwood was very weak and the main player was Civet.

SL Eau Froide today. Lovely citrus + incense, with a strong ginger blast at the opening. Perfect for warm weather.

L'Artisan Tea For Two today. I'd forgotten I had this, or at least let it get nudged aside by the other bottles in the herd.

What do you think about it?

I think it's wonderful and one of those few perfumes that have flashes of moods as opposed to flashes of scent recognition.

Dzing! might be the one scent that all the regulars in this thread have a high opinion of. (Maybe PoAL too, I'm not sure.)

I'm wearing Divine by Divine today.

Today I'm enjoying the late dry-down of Tam Dao, which is one of my top five favorites but haven't used it in a long time. It's such a warm, beautiful, buttery sandalwood after the cedar burns off.

tough one. One minute I'm really loving it, the next much less so. The animal comparisons/references haven't gone unnoticed. I'm sure it will grow on me. Not sure I'm looking to get a full bottle just yet.

I really wish they hadn't neutered this one. It used to be so potent and long lasting. Now it just sucks.

I've had the same bottle since 2004, luckily.

Today: Oud 27 - I find it remarkabl that they found a facet of oud and went in that direction with it. I'm not sure yet what facet that is because it's so well blended that the oud's identifiable points have been covered up with the other components.
