She likes fresh woody citrusy 'young' scents. (Her all time favorite is Chanel chance)

I was thinking about Creed Love in white but would gladly consider inspired opinions.

SOTD: Amouage interlude. Still loving it. I am afraid I will need a bottle.

You really should investigate Chanel's Eau de Cologne. I know it's another Chanel and we've been talking about this particular perfume recently, but it should be right up her alley. Also look at some of Hermes' stuff like Eau d'Orange Verte or a light, airy scent that is quite lovely even thought it's not my style in Osmanthe Yunnan.

Thanks. Never smelled Osmanthe Yunnan but there is an Hermes store a few blocks away. I hope they carry it...

While you're at it, let your wife try Rose Ikebana too. It's a lovely fresh rose scent. Maybe she'll enjoy it.

Oh, yes, and Acqua di Parma. Colonia Assoluta and Colonia Intensa might both fit her bill. The former is a little more female, the latter a tad more tangy.

Oh, yes, and Acqua di Parma.

But I want it to be a present / surprise... smile.gif

The Editizione Riviera of AdP I was considering but read it was very (very) citrusy...

Well, then I would skip Rose Ikebana for now. But have a closer look at the AdPs.

I've got to say, Love in White is one of the more unpleasant fragrances I've smelled. I find it very prickly and uninviting. Have you ever tried Chanel No. 5 Eau Premiere? It's not citrusy, but it's fresh, woody, and young. I also think b1os's suggestion of Rose Ikebana is very good.

I've switched into Opium (the feminine) for the evening. That is such a warm, pleasant scent; I like it much, much more than the masculine.

Also, looks like we'll have a new Hermes scent coming out soon: Jour d'Hermes.

I forgot about Eau Première. I remember it close to Shalimar. Will have to try it again.
Thanks.

Had a decant of french lover come in yesterday, wore it today. Wears quite close to the skin, very 'green', with a note that's almost reminiscent of a wet cigar. Love it. Need more green scents.

I've got to say, I don't smell Eau Premiere as being close to Shalimar, but of course different people make different associations. (That reminds me actually of a discussion I was in on BN: others were saying that the new TF Noir very much reminded them of Shalimar, and I just wasn't getting it. I still don't get the connection. But apparently I was in the minority.)

Pre-shower: Escentric 01. I finally get this one. Up to now, I just smelled it and thought Iso-E Super. But I finally discovered the various dimensions of this, including a light floral note that really rounds it out nicely. It's extremely sheer and bright.

SOTD: Santal Blush

Tom Ford Amber Absolute.

Comme des Garcons Skai. I think this is the perfume robots would wear.

Just picked up some "classics" from Parfum1 for really cheap: Caron Pour un Homme, Bvlgari Black, and then a Fragrantica classic, VC+A Midnight in Paris. Also snagged samples of the new ELDOs -- excited about Afternoon of the Faun or whatever the name is. Curious to see what samples they'll throw in for that... probably some Beyonce Heat or something.

Thought about AA and Santal Blush but eventually decided in favor of Ambre Sultan.
