Good, so pretty much like I tried to describe it (more elegant = less loud and more formal). Glad that once my nose didn't deceive me. I wouldn't buy Back to Black, unless I didn't mind the expense. I think I prefer it over A*Men, but it obviously depends on your mood the day you're wearing it.

Hmm...I do remember some people thinking that Biche smelled like "bbq chicken" or something like that, I also remember that there were some fervent fans of the whole line. It was quite a collection. I don't think I expected that it would so completely disappear from the market so quickly. I don't think I've seen anything on the market from that line in years, and I'm kinda surprised that she (Gobin Daude) hasn't returned with a new creation or some presence in the business.

As for Biche, it has a big juicy immortelle note, which I love and find to be incredibly evocative and melancholy in other scents too, like Eau Noire. But it also had incredibly development and longevity and had a lovely floral component.

Pre-shower: Byredo Bullion. This is an exclusive for the Middle Eastern market, but because I'm such a big player in the fragrance world, I was able to obtain a sample. It's a very interesting scent. It begins with a very big plum note, and develops from there into a floral heart. But it's the base that's really the best part of this one. It's mainly dark woody notes; it smells to me like rosewood, but that's not a listed note. I don't think it's FBW, but I think some of you might like it.

SOTD: Diptyque Eau Rose. One of my favorite roses.

SOTD: 'Z', a custom perfume I created during a perfume workshop at Galimard in Grasse.
It was amazing and I highly recommend to anyone in the south of France.
The result is... Well... Lets just say I don't stop traffic with it, but I have smelled worse.

I switched into Byredo Rose Noir for the evening. I keep thinking I should like this a lot, but I've never been able to get excited about it.

^^ oy geez. I kind of saw that coming, eventually. ...ironically, just as Chanel introduced their Exclusif body cream, designed to enhance their exclusifs scents. Speaking of, I guess I'd better get that Coromandel I've been putting off...

Today, vintage Guerlain Vetiver. Winter most certainly hasn't arrived, and Fall apparently is around here but not really settling in yet.

L'Inc - Byredo Bullion??? That sounds promising.
