I've heard a LOT of love for the Seville a L'Aube lately. Then again, it's hard to measure because people only SQUEEE about their loves and hardly ever disparage anything. I might, for instance, think that Ho Hang resembles powdery stale cat piss, but I never broadcast that. Then again you can usually guess these things when you see "FREE TO A GOOD HOME" in the sales threads.

My own opinion is that Seville a L'Aube is okay; it's not wonderful and it's not bad. There are lots of L'Artisans I like better. I'm not a big orange blossom fan, so I imagine that's a good part of the problem.

Morning: Hermès - Terre d'Hermès. Not my favorite notes.
Afternoon: YSL - Opium parfum. Quite interesting. Projection is rather mediocre for a parfum though. Wonderful drydown.
And Angelique Noir. Still going strong with not so good projection.

CDG Series 4- Citrico today. bought a bottle over the weekend. Its a splash, not a spray (maybe they had sprays they could give me who knows). like it a lot. just a very clean scent.

Today: L'Artisan Passage d'Enfer.

Did I miss 50 or 60 posts on this? Where did all this love come from? Cupcake's mention was the first I'd even heard of the damn thing.

I don't think there was a lot of hype here in this thread. But it's been hyped a lot on the fragrance blogs, especially the female-centered ones. The fragrance has a really interesting story, which is why I tried it in the first place. (I am a sucker for good promotional stories.) Denyse Beaulieu from Grain de Musc wrote a book called The Perfume Lover, and in one scene she describes a romantic encounter with a young Spaniard named Román in Seville. The fragrance, created by Bertrand Duchaufour, was meant to recreate that experience. I think it just came onto the market less than a month ago. Maybe my remarks above were a little too dismissive; I do like the scent, but it's not one that's going to compete for a regular spot in my rotation.

L'Artisan Navigateur. Not sure I am comfortable with it in such warm weather.
