Another possibility that occurs to me off the top of my head is Voyage d'Hermes.

thank you. will look into them smile.gif

i was afraid i would have to resort to that lol. looking for something a bit more original, but if all else fails that and acqua di gio by armani would be my two best options. thanks.

I'm wearing Tom Ford Tuscan Leather today. I managed to put together about 15mls from all of the samples I got (2 Saks stores, Tom Ford boutique). I like this fragrance so much though, that I am going to have to buy a bottle sooner or later.

Bond No 9 Coney Island today -- getting my last uses out of the distinctly summer scents while the weather is warm.

Snagged Gucci Pour Homme II before it goes the way of the buffalo and small decants of Dzing!, Tea for Two, and Dzongkha. Bring on the cool weather!

Creed Aventus.

Went with Sycomore today, not sure why other than nothing else jumped out at me. The cool weather of earlier has long since faded back into the usual damp warmth of this time of year.

Chanel probably is my favorite classic house. I haven't tried all of their offerings, but what I've tried has been good to great: Antaeus, Sycomore, Cuir de Russie (parfum), Bois des Îles (parfum), No. 19 (parfum), No. 22 (parfum), (No. 5 tongue.gif), ... I prefer them over Guerlain. I like Guerlain a lot too, but overall Chanel's style is more my cup of tea -- and after my mother tried the newest formulation of Après L'Ondée EdP, I was vastly disappointed (like I already wrote, I have the "vintage" parfum which is so much more complex, the new juice I wouldn't want to smell for free). Allure is nice too. (but Allure Homme Sport is disgusting to me).

Speaking of Chanel, any recommendations for places to purchase? I'm too lazy to go downtown to one of the dept. stores. I can't even remember which one carries it. I want to pick up a bottle each of Pour Monsieur and Sycomore.

you can call your local neimans and they will ship it to your place.

ah ok. thanks! I actually have to stop by Union Square tomorrow so maybe I'll just pop across the street to NM.

I switched into Santal Blush for the evening. I haven't worn this in a while because it seems more like a cool weather scent. I'd forgotten how good it is.
