I wear Calvin Klein - Red Classic vintage parfum at the moment. It's pretty good!

They have a separate listing at TPC called Large Decant Specials. Those should be cheaper than STC's equivalents, unless I'm missing something.

Thought I would ask. Any recommendations for a good fall scent? Would like something woody/interesting. Scents I already have : Chanel Allure Homme, L'eau Dissey, Paco Rabanne, Gucci Guilty (which I forgot back home)

 

Some have said Hermes have a good fall cologne but I am not sure of the name..

Serge Lutens - Ambre Sultan/Chergui/Arabie
Frederic Malle - Musc Ravageur

Just some I wore in the last couple of days. There's much much more. What budget do you have, what do you find interesting?

Maybe you mean the new Hermes - L'Ambre des Merveilles?

Rocabar by Hermes is a fantastic fall scent. I'm not sure if that's the one people had mentioned to you. Bel Ami by Hermes is also quite good--it's a classic big leather scent.

EDIT: +1 to everything b1os said. I was just focusing on the Hermes part of your question, but I also thought of Moss Breches as soon as I saw your question. Chergui too.

Actually, while writing this post, I was really looking forward to coldish fall days.

The Calvin Klein is still going strong. Much in the direction of "Guerlain orientals". I have no idea from when this is, there's just one website selling it without more information (http://www.cosmic-perfume.com/Calvin-Klein-Red-Classic-Pefume-for-Women-by-Calvin-Klein-Pure-Perfume-Splash-10-oz.html), but it's solid.

Wow, fantastic. Let's say $120. I do have a Holt Renfrew as well as Sephora, and The Bay near by so I will take a look. I've always wanted Tom Ford but I am not sure of the price range, especially here in Canada. Honestly I've never really had a fall fragrances as I am more of a citrus guy but I love that woody hints with slight orange/tangerine/grapefruit.

If you like woody with some orange, then you might really want to try Terre d'Hermes.

$120 isn't going to be enough for some of b1os's recommendations, unfortunately.

The Terre d'Hermes was part of the order that got lost so I can't comment on that, but I guess it would fit. What I would recommend to you in general is to grab some samples from those stores and get an idea of what you enjoy (leather, amber, vanilla, musc, wood/oud/resin, rose, ...), so you have more to choose from in the future.

So how do you guy's get samples all the time without purchasing a lot of fragrances or dealing with snobby sales reps?

The reps at neimans are horrible unless I am spending money, then they would do just about anything to accomodate.

I get most of mine from an online retailer called Surrender to Chance. It costs money, of course, but not that much. The Perfumed Court and Luckyscent are other popular online retailers.

There's also the swap box that Master-Classter gets going every once in a while.

Tom Ford Champaca Absolute today. I really like this one. It's got a rather floral opening underpinned by some darker musky and patchouli elements.

Wore pure havane yesterday on Thomas' recommendation. I like it better than Tobacco Vanille. Good stuff.
