Hermessence Poivre Samarcande for me; it is hot in Tokyo today and I cant wait to stink up Shinjuku! This one is a lovely, minimal, peppery sort of scent... sort of reminds me Cuiron with how close it stays to my skin, but has a little more kick. Though, it is only my second wearing, so I cant really give a full description until the whole thing has settled.

today for the first time in over a year I actually wore nothing. I can't tell you how much simpler life was, and yet not as fulfilling.

I have only not worn a fragrance on days when I have been so busy from the start that I forgot; I felt sort of naked...

Anyway, I will put on an extra spritz of the Poivre to readjust the balance of the universe.

Tomorrow, for my last day in Japan, I plan to do what I affectionately call the `Crowd Pleaser.` Basically, this involves me wearing an obscene amount of pure parfum and then getting onto a crowded train.

Shalimar or Jicky... hmmm.... heavy, sweet ambery vanilla or thick lavender dirty baby diapers?

That trip from Shinjuku to narita airport is going to be a blast.

Sample of Creed VIW today. I don't really like it, but anything stronger in this heat woud've killed.

in my quest to empty one bottle this year, I'm dedicated to wearing out Sushi Imperiale on a regular basis.

Bleu de Chanel today. Interestingly enough, it really does smell blue. I don't know if it's blue ocean or blue cocktail drinks or what. Has a touch of sweetness, and getting a bit citrusy as it dries down. I wish projection were better. Not bad, but definitely not spectacular either.

I've heard a lot of fragrances described as having a fecal note, but usually that's quite a stretch. But the fecal note in Jicky is not subtle at all! The first time I tried it I couldn't believe I was really smelling what I seemed to be smelling.

I'm wearing Le Feu d'Issey today, which smells like soured milk (with black licorice and peach).
