Today I went down to Nordstrom again to talk to the guys about what Angel Men flanker they had as a sample, which ended up being a lone bottle of Pure Malt with none for sale. I asked them if they couldn't find a bottle for me to purchase that I could have the the tester bottle. No, they said, so I made up several sample bottles which didn't bother them at all since they had no economic stake in me taking the stuff. I also got myself another sample of Pure Shot along with a few Eau d'Hadrien. On my way through Neiman Marcus one of the ladies who I've talked to several times hooked me up with a few samples of Voyage d'Hermes perfume as well as Francis Kurkdjian Oud, Apom, Cologne pour le Matin, and Lumiere Noir. I've never heard of this brand, Francis Kurkdjian and have yet to sample them.

Went by Gumps and bought a bottle of Histoires de Parfums 1826 as well as getting some samples of Floris Cefiro and Elite.

Then went by Barneys where they gave me a sample of L'Artisan Al Oudh and CdG Palisander.

It's been a productive last two days and I have my hands full for a while!

I was curious how you got hold of some Pure Malt. That's been unobtainium for a couple of years now.

Today, a new nichey scent: Copper Skies by Kerosene Trewthe. It's an off-beat metallic incense amber.

Wonder what would happen if you brought your own atomizer to decant into. Something more like 30ml or some such.

SotD1: Floris - Elite. Scrubbed it off after five minutes. Totally not what I wanted to wear today.
SotD2: Floris - No. 127. Interesting. Very much geranium at the beginning. Not my favorite type overall, but not bad.

So about the Puredistance - M I have where lots of alcohol evaporated due to a lack of seal... how can I dilute it? I do have 70% pharmacy alcohol, but I thought it might be a too high proof. Dilute the 70% alcohol with a little bit of water, like 2:1 alcohol water, then add to the remains of M?

trust me when I tell you, both as a customer who's tried and as a current SA, think of testers as golden geese, little by little is ok, but taking in a 30ml atomizer or even 10ml (ok maybe) might end very badly...



today, left wrist Chanel PM edT... I can see the classic design in this and immediately thought of Jicky and Mouchoire, etc... but I'm assuming it's been killed with reformulations because it didn't last long at all.
right wrist - eau de marvailles - eh, pleasant but nothing interesting/unusual. So this is what amber smells like?

I've been wearing Diesel's Only the Brave for a few weeks now. It's helping me pretend that spring is more like summer than winter. Vanilla, citrus, and amber. Sexy.
