speaking of CdG, was just at Barneys and got to smell that new one in the warped clear glass bottle, and yes, it did sort of smell like dust on a lighbulb...

@HORNS: TdH has always seemed like a spring scent to me too, but it's definitely not springy in an obvious way. It reminds me of the smell of wet earth that is unique to spring.

The new MMM fragrance is even better than the original. A lot of the same notes carry over but none of the tobacco I associated with it before.

I don't think so, or at least it wasn't last time I looked. It's not too similar to Gris Clair. e+l is more of a summer scent - herbal and green and dry, not sweet at all. The incense is there but it isn't heavy and smokey.

Yesterday Acqua di Parma Colonia Assoluta - I love this scent but wish the fresh part wasn't so fleeting.

There's a surprising resiny note that emerges soon after the top notes disappear. I like that note a lot, so I don't mind that the fresh notes are so fleeting. I also really like the cardamom note, which I smell along with all the citrusy notes at the top.

Chanel PM for me today. This is a scent that I didn't love at first, but I've grown to appreciate it more and more. I've noticed lately that a lot of my favorite scents were not love at first smell, and a lot of the ones that were love at first smell are ones that I'm not all that enthusiastic about anymore. Violet Blonde is my best example of a scent that I thought was okay at first, but that I grew to love.

Ok, I have to revise my "review" of Allure pour femme. It's not tuberose, and it's not that similar to Carnal Flower like I thought. Anyhow, I still like it a lot. And Carnal Flower, too, even though it's quite extreme.

SotD: Antaeus. It's a not overly complicated, easy to wear scent. When I applied it to a test stripe, it began to smelled quite soapy/fresh-out-of-the-shower-like. On me, fortunately, it doesn't. I like it.
