I have two fully canvassed Italian suits, both completely unfinished and factory-new. I have dropped the prices ridiculously low here&nbsp. So, without further ado:

1) Sartoria Castangia - Navy with Blue Stripes, 50 IT (38-40R), 2-Button, Single-Breast, Double Vent - $600 (plus shipping)

This is the prize. By far the nicest RTW suit I have ever owned, this suit is by Sartoria Castangia, one of the very best tailoring houses in Italy. You can find much written about them on these boards; it's basically a Kiton level suit in a less conservative cut. Castangia, based in Cagliari in Sardinia and drawing on different influences, may be described as relaxed Neopolitan - this suit is not overly aggressive, but has a great drape, no spare fabric, very comfortable (essentially no shoulder pads) and elegant. High armholes give a custom feel to it. The fabric is Super 130's wool, in a classic navy blue with complex stripes and a subtle herringbone pattern (it's hard to tell in the photos due to the lighting and limitations of my camera), very soft and cooling. The hallmark of this suit is that it is genuinely 100% handmade; the attention to detail is incredible. Indeed, I struggled to find a single machined seam anywhere on the suit (the inside seam of the pant and inner pant button is all I could find). The shoulders are classic spalla camicia with hand attached sleeves, the lapels have beautiful pick stitching as well, the buttons are hand sewn etc., but the handwork is really above and beyond all over the suit in a way I have never seen on a RTW suit. The rise on the pant is moderate. This particular suit was made for Neiman Marcus and one of the labels inside has been marked but is not really visible (you can see in the pics if you are concerned). This suit retails at between $4000 and $5000. Bear in mind that it needs to be finished and includes the buttons and threads necessary for that task.

Measurements are as follows:

Jacket (laid flat):

Shoulder - 18.25"
Chest - 20.75"
Length - 31"

Pants (laid flat):

Waist: 17"
Rise:10.75"
Leg width (approximately where it would be when finished): 8.25"

2. Stile Latino - Light Gray/Light Blue POW, 50 IT (38-40R), 3-Roll-2, Single-Breast, Double Vent, Drop 7 - $400 (plus shipping)

I think this is a great business suit. The fabric is elegant, soft and cooling. The suit has some padding in the shoulder but not much.

It has a good amount of handwork (lapels, spalla camicia sleevehead, interior breast and sleeve lining, buttons) and is fully lined. The pants have the Attolini signature button fly. As noted, this is unfinished and includes the buttons and threads necessary for the task.

Measurements are as follows:

Jacket (laid flat):

Shoulder - 18.5"
Chest - 21"
Length - 32"

Pants (laid flat):

Waist: 17"
Rise: 9"
Leg width (approximately where it would be when finished): 8.25"

Laid the pants flat and measured from the top of the waistband to the crotch seam.
