As the winner of the past week challenge, I get to choose the theme for this week's Friday Challenge so, this week is:

Brown tie without a staple shirt.

The rules are pretty simple:

You must wear a brown tie but you can't pair it with a blue - plain, striped or any kind of pattern - or white - plain - shirt. Use your imagination and ability to mix the colors.

1) Jacket is a must.
2) Pants, as estitchy would say, are optional.

3) PS is optional.
4) Challenge is open to fits from this week only from now until midnight UTC-6:00 Saturday 20th September (Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey time).
5) One entry per person - if you submit more than one entry, you must nominate one as your final submission.

EDIT
Example: You can use for example a green/white stiped shirt. You can't use a blue/white striped shirt. I'm going to allow a blue/any other color stripe shirt, for example blue and yellow striped shirt.

Ready. Set. Go!

The Contestants!

Shirt is a light antique pink with a darker pink check.

I think this qualifies?

If I don't manage to get anything else in by Friday, what I was wearing on Monday would qualify anyway (brown raw silk tie, lilac shirt, grey/brown/olive glen check suit)... however, I think I want to do something different as I didn't feel this one worked that well.

Shirt is pink.

I like that a lot G!

My entry. Didn't got the time to take a decent pic.

Really like that tie, unbel. I like those three-color block stripes, but find them tricky to wear in bold colors. A lower-contrast one is very cool.

Here goes....

Pretty much all brown errthang.

Looking good @in stitches . tough to follow that. Oh well:

Here's mine. Cool challenge, Betel!

The more eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed that I've pretty much stopped posting on SF over recent weeks, and I've reduced browsing considerably too (kind of bored with the vibe of it all mostly, plus a lot of what I've been wearing recently has been rather non-SF) but I think I'll still continue to post an occasional challenge entry should the theme interest me and I see it in time.

So here's a brown tie with a fairly acidic lemon yellow shirt. I gather that as long as the shirt isn't white or blue, a solid is OK? Not sure if the lemon-ness really comes through in the photo, but such is life. Controversially - at least within my usual personal choices - not only a BD with a tie, but a BD with a DB...

I was planning to wear a pink shirt, but since there's already a bunch of excellent pink shirt fits posted I figured I'd do something else.. dug deep in to the closet and found this lovely shirt!

Here we go. Shirt is lavender. Thanks to Gerry, I had to change out of the grey suit into a navy one.

Wasn't planning to participate in this one, but unexpectedly had to don a suit this morning. Not the most inspired combination, I know...

Strong field. Nevertheless I'm in. Felt rather smick in this mostly-Canali fit today.

Non-Canali items: tie (Personality Milano), square (Shanghai Xinyang market), belt (Vince Maloney & Co), watch (Stowa), socks (Bresciani), shoes (Carmina shell).

Now you mention I do, probably concerned that the bar is yet to open! NVM.

@Betelgeuse Can you use this pic for my entry please? Prefer it on reflection. Nice work with St. Andrew's PS BTW!

Almost forgot to actually x-post here.

Original two-panel spoilered for color inaccuracy. This is my official entry

Just realise majority of my shirts are blue based.

Charles Nakle shirt

Rubanacci PS

Today was a ';the world can go screw itself' kind of day. Got to go into work late, green shirt, olive pants, green shoes.

For once, I'm in complete agreement with the voting pattern.

Very strong field overall though. Well done, gents.

All round great entries, both Tchoy and Stitchy really got me aching for more DB suits.

Lots of great entries and a solid challenge idea. IMO Stitchy did it best.

It appears the majority disagree,
but monotone brown doesn't do it for me
(though monotone blue, I can see),
so I voted nabil, choy, and EFV
