Help me decide - sleek but functional briefcase under $500

Help me decide- or make a recommendation! (please try not to recommend a Mont Blanc, Dunhill, Prada, Valextra, Hermes, Lobb, LV etc. because it will depress me- unless you know of a particularly good sale). Thanks in advance for any help.

Leaning towards the old leather Bosca.

Double gusset, black, good leather and lasting dye are important.

The Bosca looks nice, although of that group I'm somewhat drawn to the leather Zero Halliburton.

The black Pierotucci looks fabulous. The black Romet looks good as well.

If you dressed down while carrying the aluminum Halliburton, you'd be mistaken for a photographer - if you dressed up, you'd be mistaken for a drug dealer.
