Name a Fragrance

If you created a fragrance, what would its name be? And how would it smell?
My perfume would be called "Pure Beauty" and I would describe it thusly, "Top notes combining the warm scent of vanilla with crisp fruit accents reminiscent of Asian Pear, Green Tea, Mandarin Orange, Pineapple, Juniper Berry, Mulberry, Peach, Apricot, Grapefruit, Honeydew Melon, Green Apple and Cedar evoking the salt tangs of the East Japan Sea transporting us to an ancient Japanese temple deep in the mountains of northern Hokkaido. Mid-notes of Sicilian Lemon, Jasmine, Patchouli, Bamboo, Plums, Tangerine, Wild Mint, Violet Leaves, Blackcurrant, Bergamot, Green mandarin and Florentine Iris engulf us in heavenly floral, fruit and spice scents that arouse the senses. Ginger, Lavender, Amber, Lily of the Valley, Lotus Blossom, Vetiver, Ginseng, Musk, and tropical-forest base notes complete this uniquely caressing and powerful fragrance."

The Beach.

Eau Yeah!!!

With a name like that, who cares how it smells?

Nantucket Red, the Fragrance: Salt air and heavy fog with undertones of juniper and pine forest.

Jazz Bar: Scotch and cigars mingled with the scent of a woman's hair and a hint of tasteful perfume on her neck as you whisper sweet nothings in her ear.

Tokyo Commute: BO and halitosis of middle-aged salaryman combined with over-perfumed, over-made-up tart and undertones of musty air conditioner.

Try a scent called "Mare" by Creative Universe. It's the closest thing to the beach I've smelled; loaded with sea salt and something dry and sandy.

I think "Tokyo Commute" already exists... it's called Alexander McQueen "Kingdom." (Give it a sniff and you'll see what I mean... BO, a bit of rose, and unwashed... umm... part of the female anatomy).

As for your others, "Nantucket Red" might be a close fit for Creed's Erolfa (see salt, a little brine, and some of Creed's slightly sweeter house notes for added class), if you wanted to try that. Jazz Bar actually reminds me of Alfred Sung Homme... an old 80's classic that is like YSL Kouros with stale cigarette smoke added. Versace Black Jeans might be another to try... sexy, but with tar mixed in (giving it a slight asphalt vibe).

Wow, that's one hell of a note pyramid. Anyway, a few things that pop into mind that you might try would be Creed Silver Mountain Water, Serge Lutens Un Cedre (a very sweet cedar), and Viktor & Rolf "Antidote." Also, definitely try a few of the Comme des Garcons "Insense" and "Red" series offerings.

As for a personal scent, I don't know that I'd really need one. There are so many wonderful fragrances out there that I really couldn't imagine spending the $1000+ it would take to have a reputable parfumeur make one up for me.

If I were to have one, though, I think it would be a spicy, dark leather with a hint of something off-kilter, something like a slightly more pungent, projecting, and dark Helmut Lang Cuiron...

Oh...well, "Mare" is still a nice one to try anyway.

Eau, I forgot to mention... Eau Yeah!!! should smell of Kool-Aid, and have a red tint. Seriously though, I have enough favorites, I doubt I could make anything more fitting than New West / Yatagan / Antaeus - my holy trinity. Although, if I had the inclination, I'd be curious about a spearmint/cedar/pine/rosemary combination. Something dry, with an edge. And I'd call it...Eau No.

I like the name, Filament.
Bright citrus opening, drying down to citrus peels, roots and bark.

I'd name it a number...and that number would be the amount of sprays before it empties.

Mo' Bitches. It would smell like big dick and security.

TKO

It would smell like chloroform. In fact, it would BE chloroform.

Fragrafina. It would be purified regular air.
