Cheap Frette/Hospitality Collection questions - Page 2

Does anyone have experience with Nancy Koltes sheets? I stopped by the sale this morning and prices were pretty good, albeit in limited colors/styles.

I've seen fitted sheets from all the high end makers. Correct me if I am wrong, the basic set consists of a fitted and a flat sheet with 2 pillow cases; the set up is the flat sheet lays on top of the fitted sheet, you either sleep on top the flat sheet or on the top of the fitted sheet with the flat sheet between you and the comforter.

+1 on Woodbury Common Frette store. Pratesi also has a store there too.

I've never understood the whole flat sheet business. Sleeping in hotels with those arrangements--especially where there is no comforter--is such a tedious experience.

I picked up 2 queen flat sheets from the hospitality collection for a total of about $35. My bed is a full, so they fit around as a fitted sheet quite nicely, though I don't think that they were intended to be used in this way.

As soon as I received them, I put them through the delicate cycle and a short dry in the dryer and I'm now posting from my bed. My initial impression is that they are much crisper than my previous set of linens (Wamsutta 360 TC long-staple cotton, $5) but that I kind of like the texture. I'm curious to see how these will age.

There's no way I'd pay $540 for them. For $35, we'll see.

It's a retail store in the US.

This seller has a bunch of really inexpensive Sferra Bros. stuff. I picked up one of the cotton herringbone blankets. I won a best offer at $30 off the original price (though shipping is clearly overpriced).
