A lot of unknowns here, but I'm just putting it out there as a possibility.

There's a good cross-section of young and older on this board, so not everyone finds himself in higher income brackets. What may be unrepresentative is that most on here are prolly college educated. If college educated men have a different take on polygamy, then here is one bias in our poll. I'm not sure this is the case, though.

Putting aside all the demographic problems, the limited sample size, etc. This poll is useless because I for one voted "one is too many" with my tongue in my cheek (I am happily married). How many others voted for what they thought was funniest option instead of their true feelings on the subject.

And you can guarantee that no-one's ever bs'ed on one of your polls? I voted "one is too much" also but if I had to choose between the first two would've said "yes" to polygamy. And even if we put all the supposedly "glib" answers into the "no" camp, you'd still have nearly 30% of SFers saying "yay" to allowing more than one wife. That's a sizeable and not insignificant number.

However you slice and dice it, I think this poll shows that a bigger poll of the general population would prolly show that a good section of the male population likes the idea.
