Shirt crease question

Hi guys,
WWas wondering if there is any way to stop this shirt from creasing or if there is a fit that might be better for me.

Pretty sure that the reason for this creasing on the second button is from my shoulders being flatter than normal. Perhaps I should just keep shopping around for different shirts. Any tips or suggestions?

Undo that second button, and problem solved.

As for a permanent fix, it could be that the shoulders on the shirt are too small. Also, you might have straight shoulders, in which case your shirt pattern needs to be adjusted (if you go MTM).

Thanks. I was thinking that as well. J find all the shirts I try on do this so it's a pain :/ how would I know of the problem is shoulders slope vs if they are slightly small? Can this be tailored without costing a lot? Mtm might be what u have to do

Well it could be both problems, not just either one. Altering the shirts would not be an option in this case. Identifying the problems would mean doing what most of us do on here: trying on a lot of different sizes; reading a lot about proper clothing fit; familiarising yourself with the tape measure and the measuring process. In other words, trial and error, and a lot of analysing.

Okay thanks for the tips. I might try mtm soon because every shirt I try on had this problem. I am just not sure what exactly the problem is and I don't want to mtm and then screw up. It is most likely the slope of my shoulder tho

take a straight on picture.

have someone else take it.

one photo with the collar buttoned and one with the collar unbuttoned.
then we can actually see what is going on

I have tried different shirts and they all seem to have this crease in some form or another at the same location. These are BB ESF shirts and I find them to cause the crease to be larger than when I try on the club monoco slims, as well as Banana Republic etc. I am kind of finding that the tighter the shirt, the more this shows. Not sure if I should go for a shirt like the BB slim and get it tailored to stop this or if I need to get MTM. What seems like the best option?

I do like the look but I would be interested for any opinions as well. I am interested in a MTM option but I am kind fo worried about screwing up the measurements and since I live in Canada, it is quite frustrating for shipping.

I am trying to figure this out quick because theres a BB F&F sale this weekend and I can snag some slim fit shirts from there to get tailored. Otherwise it looks like its MTM for me :/

And advice is great! Thanks!

brooks ESF is not good for you.
it is an odd fit.
the yoke is very narrow and the armhole is too high.

you also seem to have forward pointing shoulder on the right side.

this is causing the crease.

try a different . slim fit.

going MTM could be a mess if you try this on line.

also add soime darts to the back to get rid of the fullness in back

Do you think getting the regular slim fit and then tailoring would be worthwhile? I might try this and see how it goes

this might help.
but opening up seams on those non-iron shirts is a *****..

a tailor could cut the seams out which is easier.

I plan to get the non-non iron ones hahahaha. There's a sale on their luxury shirts so I might grab two of those and a cheaper one. Allow the tailor to do the cheaper 50$ slim and then if I like it do the luxury ones, otherwise I'll return the luxury ones. Seems like the best idea
