No, but I fired one once.

What's it like? Is the kickback huge or is that minimized by the really long barrel?

It's really not that bad while firing it. Recoil is moderate, but the gun doesn't torque at all, its a pretty straight back recoil. I took turns spotting though, and that was a bitch, because the muzzle brake shoots flaming hot debris right into your grille while you are in a prone spotting position next to the gun. Nobody really warned me about that.

I can't wait to own toys like this. God bless the USA and the 2nd amendment. :P

Seeing how this is Styleforum, thought I would share some handmade and stippled flame Birch grips imported out of Norway. More important, a custom black shell cordovan holster.

Threads like this make me feel like I belong at SF even more. I'll be 21 in November and I'll be saving up for a handgun over the next few months. I hope to start out with something smaller, probably a Glock. I plan on getting a concealment license. I wish the college I go to wasn't an anti-gun campus, as I feel guns are most effective when carried everywhere.

I bet there aren't any threads like this over on the GQ forums, eh?

Lou is a one man operation. If it came from his shop, he did all the work.

Oh, but I am. Apart from that, I handed in my reservist gun - a Norwegian license-made H&K G3 (the Kongsberg AG3). Before that, I had the corresponding MP5 and for a period, the Glock 17/19. Very good stuff, but ugly.

The MP5 is ugly? I love that gun, especially the one with the integrated silencer.

I rather love it too, but as a tool, not an object of desire. Engraving and "pimping" modern guns rarely turns out well:
