Good taste depends on portraying the image that's right for you. Some people think braces (suspenders, whatever) are stuffy and old-fashioned. Old-fashioned does not equal good taste. Now, if someone can pull it off, that's great. But very few people in this day and age can wear braces and not come off looking weird.

How can a classic stuff be old fashioned?

Very easily. Classics never change, but people do. In time, a classic may fall out of favor for something else. It's all about the environment you live in, and in certain environments, a "classic" look can actually hurt your appearance.

We are talking about business occidental environment. So a classic garment can not become out of fashion in 20 years. In time but not in short time. Braces were rather "in" during 80's in US, were not they? Today they may be less worn but are not out of fashion. A guy wearing braces will not look ridiculious because he wears braces. Everybody should wear braces with tuxedo for exemple.

I don't think that is true, styles can change quickly even in a business environment. For example, double breasted suits can go in and out of style rather quickly.

Like I said before, ernest. It depends on your environment. I have seen very few environments in which braces were worn. Most men these days use belts. You also don't see many people walking around in tails. Tails are classic garments, yes, but they are not in popular use. I draw the distinction between classics I can use and classics I can't. I don't want to wear braces because I don't believe they fit the image I am trying to project. In other words, they are not MY style, style depending upon the individual.

Double is not out just too dressy for business

I think it depends, generally they are fairly unfashionable at least in this part of the US. In others they may be just fine (if you can get over the Lumburg jokes)

Fashion is the prevailing style or custom, as in dress or behavior. That is what "fashion" means in English. Braces are out of fashion. Feel free to visit any business area. Chances are 8 out of 10 men you see are not wearing braces. If someone chooses to wear braces, that's fine with me. I choose not to because I don't like how they look when I'm wearing them. It isn't a matter of them being "classic" or not. There are a lot of "classic" clothes that will definitely look anachronistic in most environments today. Good taste does not mean looking obnoxious, and unfortunately most people today will react to braces as such.

Braces are very classic, not out of fashion and "ok" for business Visit the same business irea. Who is wearing a 7 fold ties? A true bespoke suit? A sea island shirts ? No more people than these wearing braces. Does it mean all theses thing are out of fashion?

umm, perhaps they are not out of fashion in France, but they certainly are here in the US.

It's perhaps overstepping to characterize the Los Angeles area as representative of fashion in the U.S.
