We're getting a lot of questions regarding the survey.

We target to send it out by Wednesday next week. The survey will be where you confirm your colour choice.

Additionally, all backers will be entitled to a special promotion to a selected range of items from our web-store. More details to follow on Wednesday.

JUMP TO THE CAMPAIGN

Hi there,

It's still work in progress, some details have yet to be confirmed on our end.

We'll message relevant backers directly after the surveys are done this week :) Are you one of them? If that's the case thank you for backing our campaign!

Anyone looking to sell their brown/mocha Linjer briefcase? Just stumbled across the item this week and am so disappointed that it's out of stock until November! Please let me know! Located in DC, USA.

So sorry we're out of stock. Demand the past 6-12 months has been a bit crazy!

I just received my crossbody purse in the Bordeaux color. LOVE the color and how smooth the leather felt to the touch. Luckily I didn't have any stitching issues with my bag unlike what someone else posted here. I was amazed at how light the bag was and how comfortable it was to wear which is most important to me. Will post photo when I get the chance.

Any plans to make more women's handbags in the near future and also when will the doctor's bag in navy be restocked? Thanks!

The Doctor's Bag Navy will re-stock in time for Christmas delivery. Make sure to be on the wait-list to get notified first.

New bag designs will be released early next year most likely.

Also just wanted to know if the issue with the opening and closing of the bag will be addressed? I've read some reviews about how the doctor's bag was difficult to open and close due to tight hinges. Thanks.

Hi Margaret,

Thanks for your question. Definitely won't be an issue in the next production run. We're working with a new factory in Italy and are investing in new and improved hardware. We're really excited about re-stocking! :)

Please let me know if there is a better place to put this review of the Linjer Doctor's Bag. I don't have a blog so I don't have a great place to put this information.

I want to start by saying that I really like this bag.

- It's super stylish and makes a subtle statement.

- I had no problem getting it open ... once I figured out how it worked. A YouTube video would have helped me with that part.

- I like that the interior is well structured, it makes it pretty easy to fish out whatever i'm looking for. My vintage Bally bag is not structured at all and it was a pain to find anything.

- I haven't noticed any color transfer and I wear a lot of light colors, including a light jacket.

- The inside pockets are the perfect sizes for phones, passports, small makeup items.

- The zipper on the inside pocket is of good quality.

Value:

This is the first time that I've spent this much on a new handbag - a baby step into fancy handbag buying. I got in when this bag was on IndieGoGo and I'm glad I did. For that price it was definitely worth it. At the current price I might consider saving up for something else instead.

How I've used and cared for it:

- The bag arrived in late March and I've used it pretty much every day since then. So, about 6 months.

- I have taken this bag to 9 countries on 11 different trips.

- I regularly rub the bag down with a cleaner and then a conditioner.

Wear and tear: (note, this is not criticism, just describing the situation)

- You'll see in the photos below that the bag is starting to settle a bit. It's sinking in the corners. I stopped using it for about a week this summer, stuffed it and let it sit. Don't think it did much.

- The clasp / hardware is showing a lot of wear. It started to scratch already on day one and continues to get more so. (actually, this one bothers me.)

- The leather is starting to lose a little color around the bottom corners. Conditioning isn't resolving the issue.

- The leather has very few significant marks. There's one small dent in the top left on the front side of the bag, some light scratching, but not much else. I think most of what you can see in one of the closeup shots of the clasp would go away if I had conditioned the bag before taking the photos.

- That said, the leather on the top ridge where the clasp sometimes lands is pretty dented.

- The lining is high quality. Some marks on it but it's holding up very nicely.

- The bottom looks surprisingly pristine.

- When I got the bag I noticed a couple stitching oddities, mostly on the strap now that I think about it. I decided it was minor and not worth worrying about.

Personal preferences I never knew I had:

- The bag is a bit bigger than I had expected. I'd love if this bag if it were smaller. I know I'm in the minority in this. That said, the current size has been great for city break style travels.

- The strap is WAY too long. On the shortest hole the leftover bit was always in the way. The little round bits that are supposed to keep the extra bit from flying around never stayed in place.

- My hair was constantly getting stuck in the metal bits on the strap and I started to fear the prong would ruin my nicer clothes. So I stopped using the strap altogether.

- In the beginning I wished the handle was big enough to wear the bag on my elbow, but then I came up with a solution.

- Since I'm not using the strap I started tying my scarves onto the bag to make the perfect size 'strap' that can be worn on my shoulder or in my elbow. Pictured below.

- I can't have my phone in my bag and listen to my music with headphones at the same time. Well, I can, but I have to snake the headphones through the corner, which means I can't easily take my phone out to use it, then toss it back in again. Would be better if there was an outside pocket on the backside of the bag to accommodate this.

So, I hope potential buyers and Linjer finds that information useful. Happy to answer questions!

Thanks so much for your honest review! I'm saving up for this bag for when it restocks. I definitely agree it needs an exterior pocket. My crossbody bag only two weeks old has developed some minor scratches as well. Was wondering what to do about that? The hardware issue and strap issue sound like big concerns to me!

Can you take a photo of you with the bag? Im quite short 4'11" and would LOVE a smaller version of this bag.
