Interesting article:

Sidenote: I was one of the original early adopters of the Soft Tan Briefcase about year and a half ago. The bag of course has held up extremely well and is developing a lovely patina. I wish the Linjer team the best of continued success.

Are the watch movements Quartz, hand-wound or automatic movements?

Based on their promo video, quartz.

Too bad, as they are uncommonly nice-looking, and in great sizes, not that I object on moral grounds to saving money by getting more accurate movements. One way to get rid of the quartz "ping...ping...ping..." would be to offer them without second hands.

Gotcha, thanks. Honestly I just won't buy a non-automatic watch. I'd rather buy a watch winder for $30 on amazon than have to deal with taking a watch to a repairman, wait a few days, then get the watch back, do again in a few years, etc.

I do hope they sell their straps individually though, as I would buy pretty much every color.

Great article on Jenn. I'm very proud to be her co-founder(!)

Fun fact: she was trending next to Elon Musk on Fortune.com last week

So glad to hear that your briefcase is holding up well. We spent a lot of time on the construction and design of the bag, to ensure it stays with you for years to come.

Thank you for the kind wishes, means a lot. We wouldn't have gotten this far without you.

We'll be using Quartz movements for all sizes and both styles.

Thank you for the design compliments. We're working on an automatic version. We're taking baby steps into the category.

Note: the price of an automatic will be substantially higher.

We'll sell the straps separately, in all sizes and colour variations.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

As mentioned a couple of posts ago, we're launching our collection of watches 12th of July.

We'll announce the exact time by email.

The first units will be limited edition and come with an early bird discount -- so if you're interested, make sure to get in early.

SIGN UP HERE TO BE NOTIFIED OF OUR LAUNCH

We have two watch designs, "The Classic" and "The Minimalist", both inspired by the Oslo Opera House, which we love for its striking clean lines and the glint of the white Carrara marble.

Both designs share these specs:

- Swiss Ronda quartz movement

- Hour, minute, and second hands + date window

- Sapphire crystal glass

- Brushed 316L stainless steel case

- 3ATM

And, of course, full grain vegetable-tanned leather straps with beautiful leather, just like our bags.

The straps are easily interchangeable so you can buy more straps individually and change them out.

During our crowd-funding campaign, our watches will be $149-$179 and at full retail they will sell at $300-$320.

All of our watches come in 3 case sizes: 34mm, 38mm and 41mm. We recommend the 38mm and 41mm for guys; we think the 38mm feels more proportional on smaller/medium frames and the 41mm looks better on larger frames.

We also offer 9 different variations of case / strap colour combinations.

Some images:

The Classic - 38mm - gunmetal case with tan straps.

The Classic - 38mm - silver case with black straps.

Optimized by JPEGmini 3.13.0.8 0x117a6292

The Classic - 41mm silver case with black straps.

The Minimalist 34mm, rose gold case with tan straps.

Best,

Jenn & Roman
