@B-Rogue Thanks for your interest!

The portfolio has a YKK Excella zipper. Excella is YKK's premium line. We'd be very surprised if the zipper broke unless you were trying really, really hard to break it. (In that case we would want to know, and we would absolutely take care of you!)

Best,

Jenn

There has been an exceptional amount of orders the past 48 hours - thank you guys for all the support. We're running low on the following items:

1 - Soft briefcase navy

2 - Soft briefcase cognac

3 - Vertical wallet navy

We'll have another batch coming in 15th of October along with the re-stocking of all other items in our shop (expcept the new collection naturally).

Cheers,

Roman

The soft navy briiefcase is a real beauty.  I first saw Roman carrying it earlier this year during a visit to San Francisco.  Now I'm trying to stop my wife from "borrowing" mine permanently.

I work with a lot of zippers and trims during product development, and as an all around zipper, YKK excellas are my favorite.  They are both strong and run very smooth, even for long stretches.  Unlike other companies that sometimes get more hype, I've never had one catch.  They are also very sturdy, and I've never had any teeth fall out.  When I get leather jackets custom made for myself in a more modern style, I prefer Excella zips to anything else.  (I'll use vintage Talon or Conmar for more traditional, beefier looks, but that is something else altogether.)

Agree. It's really robust. It's a great product and we love them as a supplier, always deliver on time.

We'll be in Hong Kong this coming Saturday. We'll be there for three weeks almost. If you're in town and want to grab coffee please drop us a line at roman@linjer.co or just PM us.

I'll also have some of our soft briefcases and other products at my place (Airbnb in Mid-levels) in case you want to check them out in person.

We won't be running an open house this time around, but we're planning one for February.

Cheers,

Roman (& Jenn)

Thank you Jenn. Order placed for one cognac protfolio. Cheers.

The Listen Money Matters podcast most recent episode had an interesting interview with Chez Brungraber who launched a very successful Kickstarter campaign for a travel bag. As someone interested in crowd-sourcing and the dynamics of what makes a successful campaign and now, I'd love to hear Roman & Jenn's thoughts on how much her experience mirrored their own.

The product market demographics are obviously vastly different here. smile.gif

@Jr Mouse  thanks for sharing. We're travelling over the next few weeks and we're back to back these days having meetings with suppliers as we prepare our next categories. (They've been great so far!) We'll try to give the podcast a listen in the next couple of weeks!

I just wanted to mention, since you guys are now putting together a canvas collection, I would be interested in some sort of tote back that could be collapsed, rolled, folded, etc and packed in a suitcase. Use case:

I am traveling with my rolling carry-on and my new Linjer weekender ;) as my "personal item", but once I get to my destination I want a small easy bag to take out during the day. Something akin to a Longchamp bag but not so "girly" for lack of a better word.

That's an interesting idea. We have a pretty extensive product road map ahead of us.

We're not sure if we'll add a canvas tote yet, but it's one of the things we're playing around with.

We'll want to launch 3 women's products, 3 men's products and 2 unisex products. Target date of launch is March 2016.

Cheers,

Roman

Again, I am stubbornly suggesting producing your soft brief in canvas with leather trim. I will keep on suggesting this until you do it. tongue.gif

It's an idea we're playing with. We'll leak our designs here first as always:)

Yes! I would love to see something similar to the Fat Carter in canvas and leather, but closer in size to Linjer's brief.
