There's some guy that has an eggplant Quattroporte (with eggplant piping on the leather of course) and he works in the office next to my dad's. Every time I'm there I can't help but stare at the car. Too bad it's not black or something

What the hell kind of Proud Mary are you if you can't call it "aubergine"?

^ I prefer the look of the first coupé.

The quattroporte looks good though.

This new coupe looks nice, their older models I thought were very ugly, even moreso when seeing them in person. The quattro, not a fan at all of the styling. I would happily take an A8, or 7 series over it.

an a8 or 7series? you crazy or what?
Audi has gone bland in styling, the big grille is ugly.

BMW has gone all nouveau riche in their image and styling.

The old classy styling of the 5 series and rather jaguar XJ like elegance of the old 7 series is long gone at bmw.

That statement was mostly just to say I don't like how the Quattro looks. I'm sure it drives fine. It too much resembles a Buick Lucerne for me, and that is definitely not a good thing on a +$100K car.

I agree. This is , to me, possibly one of the worst designed sedans out there. Two different design teams look like they worked on this car, the front is low-slung and aggressive, the rear is plain and stodgy in comparison. The interior has the same issues, really sporty steering wheel and elegant trim details in the entire cabin, then the center-stack console with the large black plastic peices that look like they belong in a suburban and clash with the beautiful wood.

The coupe looks like the same design aesthetic front to back. This is a much better looking car, very balanced. The interior is a nicer design as well.

Just like girls, I guess everyone has their own different taste

I think the Quattroporte is one of the best designed sedans in the world. Sure, there are several cheap looking pieces, but that can be overlooked because the car is priced pretty cheap for what it offers.

The Gran Tourismo looks nice too, but it looks a little too much like the Aston for me. I thought it was going to be nice, but the more I look at it the more I don`t like. It`s just not as elegant as the Quattroporte design.

Thank you,

I thought I was the only one. IMO, the sedan looks somewhat awkward and dull. I'm impressed with the new coupe, when compared to the previous model.

I think it was purposely designed to be very understated, since it has to be a mix of a fairly-large luxury car coupled with what is essentially a 4-door Ferrari. Thus, it's not the most ostentatious of cars, surely it pales when placed next to a RR Phantom. It is very pretty though, and while yes, it has quite a bit of plastic on the dash, that's mostly due, to the necessity of todays multitude of electronic devices which are a must on high-end luxury cars.
