I'm a size 38, Small in Jcrew (the body fits too wide for me tho but shoulders and chest are perfect) and a Medium in Band of Outsiders and the Hickey (S) was a bit too tight, Medium was almost perfect (ideally I would take the stomach area in a miniscule amount)

I think that sizing chart is from Hickey Freeman and they just copied/pasted it into Hickey's site. No way those are close to being accurate from my experience

GS, Medium in BoO in A-body or B-body?
What is this A body and B body business and where did it arise from? Was I asleep when you two started calling it this last week? Cut it out, sounds dumb.

I'm a med in the slimmer cut, with the full boxpleat at back and buttondown collars (A-body I think)

the other one (non buttondown, no full boxpleat) I would fit better in a small from what i've seen but I never tried one on
post #39 of 69
A-body is slim-fit, B-body is regular.. I didn't come up with the nomenclature. I think it's been around for awhile.

Yup. Saw that same LPF sweater like 6 years ago. But it was something crazy like $3k.

I agree. The Gieves stuff is really nice.

I have a NWT Gieves sport jacket that may be up for sale soon, if any one is interested.

Mid-purple herringbone, all wool. Slim cut size 40. Retailed for around $800. I'm not getting much wear because it's not dressy enough for work.

The BoO stuff is really nice. I'd love to go for a similar image using less expensive brands since I cannot afford most of their stuff. great items.

I saw that middle jacket on sale for $600 (retail about $1300) at Barneys

and I bought the bottom navy blazer for just under $400 (retail $1275) NWT on ebay

each of my 4 shirts were all well under $100

so their stuff *can* be found at deep discount if you keep an eye out, or dumb luck hits you at the right time
