Isiah thomas

When Isiah Thomas was a basketball commentator sitting behind a desk, I thought that he looked pretty sharp. Now I see this recent picture of him(after he took over as the Knicks' GM), and the four-button jacket looks positively odd on him. The biggest problem to me is that it is terribly long even for a man his size(6'0"). Thoughts?

the maximum number of buttons on a jacket is 3 i don't care if you're 8 feet tall

I agree re: Isiah's jacket, although given the fashion sense of the NBA, I suppose it could be worse. Funny thing is, from what I remember, Isiah dressed relatively well as a player in Detroit (but I was just a kid then, so don't hold me to that). Larry Brown, the current head coach of the Pistons seems to dress very well. I mean he's no Shaq, but . . .

Larry Brown does look very good. Most people like Michael Jordan's style, but I'm in the minority who do not like it.

At least Isiah is not dressing like George Karl, who makes me cringe every time I see him.

Stu, funny you mention George Karl - that's exactly who I had in mind when thinking about the NBA's worst-dressed coaches.

Nah, Don Nelson DEFINITELY owns that title. koji

Don Nelson is certainly up there.

Don't you remember those wonderful "fish" ties he wore in Milwaukee? koji

Unfortunately, very few people have any decent fashion sense in my city. Even people that hold respectable jobs. Heck, I went to see my doctor last week, and he was wearing a short-sleeve 'dress' shirt (looked to be a Polyester blend on top of it&#33 and patterned tie from the 80's.

All I know about basketball I learned from watching the Pistons this past year, and I have to say that I thought Phil Jackson looked horrible.

As bad as Don Nelson and George Karl dress, nobody beats hockey coaches in the worst-dressed department.

at least the glare from the glass and ice helps obscure the view...

Actually, Ron Wilson of the San Jose Sharks isn't half bad.
