Today I was in a hurry to get to work, so I picked up a BK veggie burger on the way.

Today I got a maki(?) assortment from the place where the Russian ex-pat picked up his plutonium poisoning (NY location, not the London one) - they've quickly changed the name to 'Yushi' (used to be Itsu, I think)....

Nothing overly exciting today...cracked pepper roasted turkey, American cheese, lettuce on a roll. Glass of bourbon. Chips.

You're really pushing the boubon thing, aren't you? Not that you can do much damage to a turkey sandwich, but distilled spirits, IMO, wreck havoc w/ the taste of food (i.e. nice meals, not bar nuts or snacks). Didn't you have a bourbon w/ your solo post-Appreciation theatre dinner in Times Sq.? Try taking a glass of wine w/ meals - much more civilized, and it can/will compliment rather than clash w/ the food.

edit: Bon Bon spicy chicken strips w/ my first coke in weeks(months?)..."George likes his chicken spicy."

Well, neither of those meals were overly intricate. If I had ordered seafood, steak, or something else loaded with flavor, I would have passed on the bourbon.

I had a new menu item at our traditional burger joint....a pulled pork wrap. What a waste of a meal.

Vietnamese rice paper rolls stuffed with shrimps, salad and rice vermicelli. Hoi sin sauce for dipping. Some low-fat yoghurt and stewed apricots to fend off the sweet tooth without breaking the diet.
