HI all, I'm a long time lurker here that finally decided to set up an account. I bought this Brooks Brother suit at thrift yesterday for $6.99. There is no size label and the store had no dressing room and only a small mirror. The jacket is quite roomy so I'm not sure if it's simply too big or if it can be altered to work for me. I would spend up to $100 on tailoring if this suit could be made to fit well. If not, I'll take it to consignment. What do you guys think?

Another thing I forgot to mention is that the jacket is a touch long. It hits me at about the middle knuckle. I believe its too long but about an inch. Question is if that is outside of the range of acceptable.

It certainly shows it is second hand, back and shoulders look dreadful. Burn it.

seven bucks is a wonderful price to pay for this lesson.

other people spend hundreds to learn what you've just picked up.

suit is AT LEAST a full size too big in the shoulder. its why the suit doesn't fit ANYWHERE else.

burn the ******* thing immediately.
