Thanks for the feedback so far!

Yep, thrifted surplus. Found it in a huge pile under a box. I was hugely surprised that I found it in Small/Regular, too. Snagged it for $3.

And I honestly just had on an office work outfit that I threw my beanie, gloves, scarf, and jacket over. The pants are a standard pair of Banana Republic slacks, and the shoes a brown pair of dress shoes. I'm glad the trench works well, I'll definitely take the suggestions and try dressing it out casually.

Any indication of what country it's from?
I don't have it front of me so I can't say for sure. I remember it only has one or two small short tags, and they are written in english. It's well-worn, and it did not have the button-in (presumed) wool liner that it originally came with. For now it makes a great wind/rain overcoat and I wear it over my peacoat for truly cold weather. I'd like to find a replacement liner for it, though!

Ludeykrus That's a good, good find. The fit looks right on you-- it's forest green color, right?

Thanks Hugo, I reallly like the fit of those pants. You have anything against GStar?
It's the generic army olive drab I believe. I've been contemplating waxing it, which I think would darken the color and not make it seem too bright.

The jacket looks sweet, I've actually got a G-Star jacket myself. But it's the pants/boots that make that 'fit.

^^^Good. It's reassuring to know that you're not one of those with a strong aversion for G-Star/Diesel products.

Hmm, I like a lot of G-star stuff (sans huge logos) but hardly any Diesel - only when they manage to pop out something classy as opposed to the usual sort of misguided 'edgy'.
