If those were straightleg i think they'd look a lot better. There is a lot of fabric down there around the ankles and shins. The look definitely looks a million times better, but for next time, i wouldn't be afraid of straight or slightly tapered jeans even though i know it sounds weird at first and everyone thinks that it's just not for them. The outfit looks good and the jeans definitely don't need to be slimmer, i just think it would look a lot cleaner with a smaller hem. I'm guessing the hem on those is about 9" which is pretty big. 8" is a pretty good hem size for guys of your height and size, and it definitely doesn't look too "skinny fit". It seems we're a similar body size and 8" is a pretty good hem size for me for slim but not skinny. I have a pair of 7.5" ones that are a bit more "stylish" too but the 8" ones are more casual. I like the shoes though. Kudos.

In all seriousness this was a mock pagent in order to raise money for cancer prevention. It's a good cause and I'm glad I did it (not because I got to wear a dress).

To be honest though I had no idea what I was being forced into and I certainly did NOT anticipate participating.

I disagree. I think he should hem the jeans, but if he went with slim or skinny jeans the shoes would look enormous. A slim jean with a very slight bootcut might be the most flattering cut for him.
