I'm working on it. I was lucky when I was posting from my flatsitting job last month because the bedroom was so well lit - not so fortunate at my own place and no photo assistant most of the time. I need to learn how PG does it

Thanks guys, though I usually get something out of the critiques. This isn't remotely as nasty as the first time I got hated on here, and those posters even conceded that they liked certain pieces, if not entire ensembles, which tends to be how I feel most of the time anyway

I think the period in which my fits have been "gizzed over" has long since passed, and that's no crime at all. The fitting thing is an issue because I've changed my weight and general body shape a bit over the last 2 years and I hoard quite a few old pieces out of care and love and necessity, but I honestly don't have the stacks of cash needed to have all of them altered right now. Despite the money issue, I am going to take my most worn items - 4 to 5 pieces max - to be altered ASAP, so improvements may be forthcoming. I rarely buy new stuff because that tends to fit oddly too and aside from the length of my limbs, I don't consider myself too weirdly proportioned. So I concentrate on the whole over the minutiae. I'm currently the slimmest I've ever been and it actually sort of sucks

By contrast the SW&D mantra here is simple, slim fitting and unadorned (PP's fit that followed was a stark contrast in exactly that way). I've liked a few of his fits in the past, so he can definitely pull off what he does (hopefully in the proper real-life context), but I just don't think he got away with it this time with the clothes fitting the way they do. Also I'm rarely a fan of pinstripes, but can imagine a well proportioned execution of them even in this context.
I think the trousers work better with a blue or black jacket, but those would made taken the whole outfit even more extreme. I think the next time I show the pinstripes, they'll make more sense. I also think you've summed me up pretty well, although I class what I wear as experimental to a degree since it's basically an offbeat version of traditional Western dress and that's an easy way to piss off those trads as such. I know it's an acquired taste, particularly here, but then I never originally intended to post here - it was suggested to me by GoSurface (I think) after I joined MC, so I had considered the range of reactions I'd get here ahead of time. As far's context goes, London's full of eccentrics already - what's one more? Usually, I'm dressed to socialise, but every now and then I'm in a "to hell wid it" kind of mood. Life's short

barims jacket fits fine except for the sleeve length which is fucked, like every other jacket he wears for some reason.
Unless it's unprovoked dissing, I'll make time for most criticisms I get. This wasn't as harsh as you're saying - ain't like someone told me to change my whole style. I addressed your point on the jacket sleeves above
