nyc_gaucho: I have an appreciation for historic maritime workwear due to the fact that I've spent most of my life living in historic coastal New England towns, and even worked at a maritime living history museum (in costume!) for a bit. In contrast, the idea of framing a house does absolutely nothing for me. Although I do spend much of my free time restoring historic homes, so I can sometimes be found wearing a toolbelt. I, however, do not own a hard hat.
i didn't mean to single you out, ziss...i just find it interesting that "workwear" is so popular here, but you hardly ever see anyone looking like they've just finished a 12-hr shift at a construction site or climbing telephone poles...just a glimpse into the one of the many weird things i meidtate on...
anyway...coat looked good before...but looks great after the soak...enjoy
