APC produces cheap raw denim as well. They make for great starter/gateway denim, but it is by no means high end.

oh right. Yeah this is really cheap stuff, £25. APC are at least recognised as one of the best entry brands, and should have a better cut and ability to fade than these crap ones. Anyway here is a better pic this is what i wore yesterday looking for some constructive feedback, not the best pic quality but at least a full body shot

^^good fit, but blah. do something wild for a change. not everything should be "the perfect fit" all the time. maybe grow the hair a bit, wear a hat, i dunno, just add more character, give the clothes some life.

gshen, ignore this.

I disagree, there's nothing wrong with perfectly fitting basics. It doesn't have to be groundbreaking to draw attention, that's the point. More often than not, having basics that fit like his will set you apart just enough for day to day wear.

I've just been trolling this thread for a while, but I've just been seeing so much stuff that gets 'praises' that I would laugh at if I saw walking down the street. And as a side note, I have to agree with most of Why's bashing on here.

Is that a black peacoat with brown shoes and brown belt? Black + Brown = no

Here are some feeble attempts at Thom Browne-y pants with loafers (pennies and all!) and oxfords, respectively (with the turned-up sweater hem):
You actually think it's a good idea to turn up the hem on a sweater? I can't tell from the pictures, but are you folding up the bottom of the sweater? If so, I have to say that seems dumb to me. And I definitely don't like the rolled up pants look that you had going on.

Nice and simple. And always nice quality pictures, which is nice.

I like the whole outfit. The sweater/shirt combo and the jeans. I like the fit much better than most of the posts on here. Lance Konami's post... Loved it.

I really like the styling, it's nice and drapey and really lightweight...anyway, I'm having second thoughts for two reasons. The first is the color; I feel like I have too much gray in my closet, but I'm just drawn to the color! This was also available (in my size) in black and in navy with the same heathering, so I'm considering an exchange. The second thing is, I'm trying to save up for the Helmut Lang and Band of Outsiders sales on Gilt...anyway, I think it's a cool piece, I just wanted other people's opinions.
I like the shirt, but not with those shorts. Too much of the same color.

I assume this is a serious post? The shirt makes me think of some guy in a mob. The pants remind me of Steve Eurkel from Family Matters.

I like that. I don't know how you don't show your package, but I guess that's not my problem. Well what a first post I'm making...and I don't even have my own pictures to put on here. Go figure.

gshen has an awesome look day in and day out... Isn't that what style is all about? (unintentional rhyme)
Agreed. Gshen is good the way he is. I actually think he stepped too far outside the norm in his recent pic, in that he is wearing a color that is out of the usual palette; I don't think it works as well as the more Winter colors that he wears so well (burgundy, especially).
Gshen: I think it looks great as usual. I've only been following this thread for a few months, but I really like your style and consistency.

You know, generally I disapprove of beating up on the noobs, but... just this once.

If I might add, you guys are a bunch of bitter bitches. So much BS day in day out and to think that most of the shit talk is perpetrated by members who ought to display much more maturity base on age alone. Ps. Gshen, digging the simple look as usual.....Peace!
