Juun J is the Asian Raf Simons.

Honestly its really funny because not much more than a year ago his whole line was basically shameless appropriation of Raf and Hedi. He went from laughable to a unique, Korean-ized aesthetic with impeccably well-crafted pieces. The price-points are respectable as well, especially since everything's extremely rare, and every single piece gets looked over by Juun.J himself (Jeong Ok Jun is his real name) before going out, with the expensive jawnz getting sewn in-house.

Nowadays, he's in a special position because he can pull off a completely different style than what's coming out of Japan, and he can throw in interesting details that make sense coming from a country that's so stuffed with new-money it's bursting at the seams. Shit I should just make a Juun.J thread...

Perhaps they are coming back. A few pictures from the Sartorialist blog that I think look good: here and here Obviously not the same aesthetic as Juun J, but I like the look.

Mmm, yeah... Sorry, I don't think it's ever going to work for me. All I can think when I see that is "Sonny Crockett."

Chrono, I have the same jacket and it is probably one of bestpurchases I've ever made at Uniqlo. I regret not picking up the black one as well.

why the HELL would i pay ten times the amount of money for something that might as well be from the bargain bin...that's pretty much what i've gone against my entire 'style career.' Actually, that kind of spending is precisely what I try to avoid. The internet does a good job of twisting people's words or putting some in their mouths when they weren't there to begin with.

Well, I agree. But I also think thats what socals fit looked like(once again I'm sure in person I'd be able to see the fit, and fabrics etc). black t shirt, pre-distressed denim, grey hoodie. your standard mall rat. The only reason that I commented on it at all was because I am almost always impressed by his other fits. I wouldn't have said anything if it was some guy just starting out here.

this is actually funny, because I worded that one wrong(thus my use of the words 'admittedly') I meant to say that you looked (much better/that you don't look like) someone who got thier clothes from a bargain bin based on previous fits. It came out like you don't look much better. apologies.
