No, I don't have big feet. I normally wear an 8.5 (I'm 5'6"), but these are alden chukkas in an 8 (yet they still feel a little long length-wise, although they fit perfectly width-wise). I think perhaps the lens on my camera is distorting the perspective (low angle?), so everything looks out of whack. I'll take a better picture tomorrow.

13MWZ is the original wrangler cowboy cut, in raw denim in this case. $19 at sheplers. When you say they look a "little odd", are you referring to the color?

Yes, the unfortunate "Mrs. Warlok" is the blonde sitting on the left in the first photo. For the rest of the day I kept getting asked "Was that fall real or staged?" by the unsuspecting public.

Actually, the wrangler 936 is the 'slim fit' cowboy cut. The 13MWZ is the original 1947 cowboy cut -- which is still a bit slim, but not by that much.

The color is probably part of it because my eyes don't like the brighter blue with the black shoes and shirt. Also, your left thigh looks relaxed but the ankles look tight.

Alden's tend to run about a half size to a full size big and many are apparently made to have lots of room around the toes. It really depends on the model. If they are the right width but too long, next time try a wider width in a smaller size. My Alden wingtips are 8.5D and they fit pretty good but my Indy boots are a 9C and they fit perfectly. These two Alden models are supposedly built on nearly identical lasts. Try and explain that one.

xchen, I assume that is your "natural" Tanner belt. I remember you debating whether to dye it or not at some point; did it darken to that point on its own or did you encourage the process at all?

I haven't put anything on the belt at all. I haven't really even tanned it much aside from wearing it around. I put it out for an hour or two one day when I was cutting the grass but it didn't really change much.
