The boots look great on you. I'm surprised they don't make your (size 13?) feet look bigger. I love the Sanford, it's my favorite dress shoe with jeans.

Thanks. Actually those are 12; I find that boots run large in sizes. They're a little snug, but it's not unbearable. They are very nice boots; got them for cheap too on ebay.

Shoes don't work at all.

I like the Classic Aces except that I need to get them dirty. I need a shoe with a sole on them. Walking around with thin leather soles for the last 4 years doesn't help the knees...

I think that Adidas Stan Smiths or Superstars might be better. They have support, but have a lower profile than the Reebok Aces, which look a little clunky.

I'm also a little dubious about the color of that tee with the Okis, which are quite bright and have a very red toned indigo. The dark brown or faded black with that tone just seems a little off. IMO, the Corpus jeans you have, which has greys in the warp, and have a darker ecru in the weft, and are just a duller color than the Okism, might be a better match. Off the top of my head, 5EP denim and the LHT Studio D'Artisan denim used in the D1002, would also work well.

Maybe dirty and ratty they might work better. But brand new like that reminds me of my Grandpa walking around Disneyland with me when I was 10.

Yeah, I'll give you that the shirt and the jeans don't look great together... I tried on the Stan Smiths and they may have a lower profile, but they looked much bigger than the aces and didn't offer as much support. I didn't want the superstars because pretty much everyone is rocking them. I thought I would go with something a little different...

The thin is well fitting skinny/stacked jeans fit your lower body better than looser jeans do.

As long as you're naturally skinny, then makes your lower half seem slimmer and your upper half more built (like a triangle almost). If you emphasize correctly then you make yourself appear lean but still athletic.

Of course there are people who have beer guts and wear tight jeans and that is NOT a good look. The best thing a guy has is his physique and well fitting clothes only show off how good in shape you are (or mask your flaws and make you appear in better shape than you may be).

Remember, skinny =/= tight.

Ha, I've recently purchased the exact same boot in the exact same size. I'm unfortunately having trouble finding browns in my wardrobe to match- and I'm still searching for an approrpriate belt ;(



Anywho, here's a picture showing off some various thrifts, although I'll have to see what to do with this cool leather jacket which fits on the shoulder and chest perfectly but has sleeves that are 1.5'' too short. There's excess leather but obviously this wouldn't be a normal jacket-style alteration, so I'll have to see if I can get the sleeves taken out and see if the faux-cuff the stitching makes is acceptable. It was an irressistable find at 20$.

Fear not, 5ep isn't that relaxed; I was wearing it really slouchy to play with the proportions of the leather jacket; and just found shelter from the incredible rain here in New York so the stacking, and everything is affected by being soaked from the knee down.

I threw on the EG jacket when I was taking pics just to see how it looked. I think the look is better w/o the jacket, personally.

I really gotta ask, when you sit down don't your jeans ride up and show lots of sock? I think hemming your jeans the way you do works in that you pair your denim with kickass shirts and sportcoats, not to mention nice shoes, but isn't it a problem when you sit down and your jeans ride up to reveal sock?
