So, I guess the old thread is locked because TS no longer being an affiliate. So here's the non-affiliate-based thread, because they do make some really nice clothing.

Anyway, indigo star jacks were restocked today! I bought myself one (actually two, in size 38 and 40) because I never know how they'll fit. Looks like a good call, as the dark version is already sold out. The good news is that I'll be returning at least one of them, so someone will get a chance at a shirt in one of those sizes. Still trying to decide whether my next yosemite should be a 38 or a 40, it's a tough call.

I just started buying Taylor Stitch ( and other brands I have found via this forum) I got a couple of tshirts, the grey pocket crew and the red barn camp tshirt. the grey is is a soft comfortbale shirt and the barn camp is the thickest t shirt i own. Will be great for years to come. I just bought a sweatshirt today in the same size as the tshirts so i hope the sizing is consistent.

wdahab and Dino do you have tshirts as well and do you wear the same size in shirts?

by the way the Jacks look great, enjoy

^ no worries. good for you though, to have the return option. i do not have that, being an international purchase. so, I have to be prudent.

So, my dark indigo star jack is *perfect* in a size 38. Anyone have any experience with whether it's truly "pre-shrunk"? Or is it going to shrink on me anyway (I've gotten bitten by this a couple of times recently). I bought both the 38 and the 40, and will probably return the 40 for being too big. Might give the 38 a wash/soak anyway, as it's brand new, and see what happens.

Mine shrunk quite a bit. I got the 42 (I usually wear a 40), so it was still wearable, but I was a little annoyed at how much it shrank, given that it's supposed to be preshrunk.

Yeah, I even just asked them and they said that it shouldn't shrink. But I don't think I believe them. I think I'm probably better off staying with the 40 and giving it a good wash (and risking it being a little big, but wearable) and returning the 38 (which fits like a dream right now).

I've found that some shirts from TS shrink if put through the dryer. The Yosemite, a heavy flannel, and the canvas mechanics shirts have all shrunk. For me that's been great because 42 fits me best but can be a bit long or loose. Drying them improved the fit. My practice now is to wash and dry once and then only hang dry after that. The chambrays don't seem to shrink as much.

I got the same shirt in the light indigo last go-around. With a cold wash, hang dry, mine did shrink a bit. I didn't measure before/after or anything but it was noticeable when putting it on. If you don't have any leeway on the 38 you might want to think about doing the 40 and then hot washing if you need to get it a bit smaller. There seems to be some shrinkage left despite the initial pre-wash when it comes from TS.

Thanks for starting the thread - I was slightly irritated that the Official was locked.

The shrinking thing is a major peeve of mine, for everything I buy. It drives me mad when I buy something just right and one wash makes me feel like I've put on 5kg. I think the answer is cold wash and NEVER put in the drier. Driers are the enemy. But even then you can still get a bit of shrinkage.

I know it's off topic, but I had a couple of awesome Monitaly pocket Ts that fit just right. One wash at 40 and they made me look like I was wearing muscle shirts. Eurgh. I really wish I'd got the size up now.

Anyway, back to TS - I've got a Highlands Shirt in olive. I love that shirt. Amazing cut and fabric. It's had one cold wash and the shrinkage is only very slightly noticeable. Weirdly, the label suggests putting it in the drier on low. There's no way I'd follow that instruction.

I've also got the TS x Fair Ends Sea Washed Selvage Chambray Glacier Shirt in both tan and indigo (damn, what a mouthful). The tan has had cold hand wash cycle and it hasn't shrunk a single bit. Very happy about that.

Not feeling that three-button hoodie TS just released. At all.

If you want to show off some shirt wear a classic zip hoodie. Otherwise, wear a normal hoodie.

It's like it starts off being a cardigan but then turns into a hoodie. Maybe they should have called it a "carhoodigan".

Yeah it's a little off for sure. Is it just me or is the length of TS sweaters really short?
