Jantzen, Reliable at last? - Page 7

My last order took 4.5 months to arrive. If you´re in a hurry, I don´t think you should bother.

The new shop will open in two weeks. The old shop will be open for a couple more months.

Apparently, they have been slow to put their new fabrics on the web page because of some problems with Vista.

The order I placed on April 6th just arrived - just shy of 5 months later.

Only two of the 3 shirts I ordered were included, so it is back to the same ol' same ol'.

Sorry, but "reliable" is not happening any time soon, or ever as far as I can tell.

Still waiting on mine from April 15.

I got mine today. Ordered on August 13.

2nd order placed 7/7, shirts arrived 8/31. Shirts came out perfectly.

Unbelievable turnaround at Jantzen these days:
- ordered five shirts on 8/21
- order acknowledged by Ricky on 8/25
- full order sent from HK on 8/30
- received in NYC today (9/4)

- ordered tuxedo shirt on 8/7 - order acknowledged by Ricky on 8/11 - received in Seattle 9/1 Hooray! I'll definitely be ordering more. The fit is perfect except around my waist; I sent them a waist measurement that was 3-4" larger than my pants waist because that's what I got when I measured the fullest part of my stomach. Next time I'll just order the small size to get the slim fit I want.

I ordered on 8/8, acknowledged by Ricky on 8/11, but no sign of the package, yet. I will post when it arrives.

Damn, still waiting on my March order. Will have to place a new order if I don't get anything in the next few weeks, with the apparent turnaround in turnaround times...

Did take a while, but it's great when 7 new shirts gets delivered at your door.
IMO, the most difficult part when ordering shirts at Jantzen is to find decent fabrics. It would be helpful if the forum members shared their experience and gave reference to the Jantzen fabric numbers. Here is my contribution;

Shirt 1: Jantzen #1141, White Fine Twill with Jade Green & Light Blue Window Panes, 100's, 2 Ply, 100% Italian Cotton. This fabric was better than expected. Quite thin and a nice shine.

Shirt 2: Checkers #36, White Twill with Orange Squares, (Soft Cotton) 100's, 2 Ply, 100% Italian Cotton.
I got a pink one instead... and that was too thick.

Shirt 3: Stripe #537, Light Blue Hair-Line with Navy/White/Beige Broad Stripes, 100's, 2 Ply, 100% Italian Cotton. Just OK, nothing moore. Too stiff.

Shirt 4: Stripe #290, White and Light Gray Stripe, 110's, 2 Ply, 100 % Italian Cotton. The best shirt in the lot. Fabric just as good as my MTM Zegnas.

Shirt 5: Jantzen #1450, White Fine Twill with Blue Classic squares, 110's, 2 Ply, (Soft cotton) 100 % Italian Cotton. This was a good fabric, comfortable and soft.

Shirt 6: JKT #0089, White Very Small Herringbone, 110`s, 2 Ply, 100% Italian Cotton. This was just to thick, but at least it was soft.

Shirt 7: Stripe #301, White with blue and olive Stripe, 110`s, 2 Ply, 100% Italian Cotton. Terrible fabric, very stiff an a plastic feel.

Since when has Ricky started putting those little Jantzen tags in his shirts? I'm definitely not a fan of that, especially considering you asked for monograms on the yoke.

skyhigh: what kind of buttons did you get on those shirts in the pics?

For as long as I've been getting shirts from him. You can remove it if you want - or you can ask him not to attach it
