Except for the missing shirt, happy?

I contacted Ricky about the collar being wrong (sent me a shirt with a white contrast collar, which I didnt order) and Ricky eventually replied he would send me a new one. The package finally arrived and all he sent was a new collar. I guess Im supposed to go to a local tailor and have them sew the new collar onto the shirt. I was expecting an entire shirt, not just the collar. Am I wrong, or is this just another reason to be glad I gave up on Ricky long ago? edit- forgot to add I also noticed a $110 charge on my amex from Jantzen in mid July. I havent placed an order since February. I emailed ricky to make sure they hadnt mistakenly charged me and still no answer.

that is horrible, probably cost as much to replace the collar as it would to order a new shirt.

Sewing a collar on is surprisingly easy. I'm not saying any seamstress can do it, but it's not hard or complicated like the old ladies with their 500 pins make it look. It probably takes more time to get the old collar off without ruining the neckline.

Mike Maldonado would make a new collar and sew it on for $20. If he's still doing it (not sure if he is or not), I'm sure he'd attach it for you. Can't hurt to ask. collarreplacement.com

To be honest I didn't really look that hard at them before I dropped them (almost immediately after receipt) at the dry cleaner for pressing. From what I recall, they looked good.

I have had incidents with Jantzen shirts where the stitching (especially along the front placket) was about as straight as a lush weaving his way home from the local pub at 3AM. This batch looked fairly decent. Will try to post more thoughts on the wiki when I get them back at the end of the week.

Unfortunately, they billed me $138 and change which sounds like 3 shirts. I ordered 5.

Better than billing you for 5 shirts when you've only ordered 3. You are already on the fortunate side so count your blessings.

Many others have not even had theirs confirmed.

I'm surprised by what people are still willing to accept - 4 months delivery time for shirts in a different fabric than originally ordered and maybe missing part of the order... and still "satisfied" ?

I guess people used to justify this by mentioning the price like a mantra but now that there are similarly priced alternatives that are better and more reliable, why do people still give Ricky business?

Agree big time. I recently started with Modern Tailor and will never go back to Jantzen. It's not worth the hassle, not knowing what the fabric looks like until you receive the shirt, and their lack of e-mail communication.

I also wonder why anyone still uses this clown. Through my 8 shirt trial, not once did I get what I asked for. I would consider if I were in Hong Kong, but I would never do another online order again. The customer service is just awful.

...and he has clealry indicated to people who visitied the HK location that the website is not his primary focus. So why give him business that he doesn't want or care for??

Oh please, I've stopped buying from Jantzen a long time ago. I do pick up a few in person when I'm in HK. It's great to get them in 3 days but online, no thanks mate.
