Bars that don't card in DC?

My homie is 21, but I'm underage (20) and don't have a fake ID. What are some of the bouncer-free bars in DC area? As long as we can get in, my homie can get me drinks.

I would prefer classy sit-down places to rowdy bars.

Thanks everyone!

P.S. I do dress like an old man......

Uh if they don't card at door they'll card at the bar. Most casual bars card at the door. You may get very thrown out at a classier place if you're caught sipping on your homie's drink. Why not pregame before going out?

The only place you might not get carded is at a nice restaurant if they hand you the wine list.

I'd just pregame like jodum said.

A bar that knowingly serves underage patrons is asking to be shut down.

I have a friend who has brought a small liquor bottle (the kind that airplanes serve) into a bar, ordered a soda, and mixed his own drink. He is of age, but didn't want to pay the ridiculous prices most bars charge for cocktails.

Good tip, Ambulance Chaser. I may bring my flask then. (a 10 oz one that sits beautifully in jacket's inside chest pocket)

However, it seems like lots of bars in NYC don't card. I spent a summer there last year and most slightly classy sit-down places didn't bother to ask me for my ID. Perhaps it's because carding = not classy?

In winter time it's easier to pass. Tortoise full-view glasses + shetland sweater under tweed sport coat = gotta be 21+!

Grow a beard. In all seriousness, I'm 25 and found that most bars in DC checked ID's the last time I was there. Out of X bar's, the only one I remember that didn't was an Irish place over by the Post Office museum on the hill.

DC this time of year is rife with ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Commission) staff trolling to set up bars for fines and loss of licenses. Don't know any places that wouldn't look at you and your boy and ask for ID. And of the ones I did know, two got popped in June, so. . . .

I don't know if you look old or young but if you look young but dress like an old man that may be a red flag to the bar/establishment and you may end up being carded more often. In the case of carding you want to blend in, not stick out like a sore thumb.

it's midsummer. all the underage college interns are in town and trying to sneak in to bars. everyplace i've been to has carded me, and i'm in my 30's.

i would just pregame.

It may be easier to get drinks if you don't use the word "homie" seriously.

Crash a wedding reception. Any large hotel should have several on the weekend.

Nah, I don't use the word "homie" seriously.

Looks like pre-gaming and flask-carrying are my only two options. Thanks a lot gentlemen.

Take the train to Montreal, then you won't just be dressed like an old person... (Yeah, I know, it's a 10h ride: I'm making social commentary here!)
