Suitable NYC Suits Opinion

Hey guys

I recently came across a new site selling suits called SuitableNYC
Was wondering if any of you guys have heard of it?

The company says that it sources its material from British mills and production is done in Shanghai, which is why they can sell a full tailored suit (jacket and pants) for sub ~$400.
When you proceed to order a suit they ask for everything from bicep width to stomach size, giving the feeling that they may be a viable option for recent college grads to buy their first suit from.

Any thoughts of the company?
Has anyone bought from the company and have reviews they'd like to share?

Thanks

I was kind of wondering too if anyone has experience with them. But they're using the term tailored very generically. It's M2M and if I were ordering, I wouldn't expect it to arrive being any great quality but probably gets the job done.

I like that they offer a $50 alteration credit once you receive the suit if it doesn't fit to your liking. Lowers the risk slightly I guess.

I just purchased a suitable suit and it has been the best experience. The quality is incredible, customer service was all based state side even though the suits are made in Hong Kong...I think. I think the most important part of a suit is the fit and this suit fits like a glove. It's an incredible idea, taking out so many middle men to give you a custom suit at an incredible price. I used the suits for groomsmen suits because renting a tacky tux is about the same price as putting all my groomsmen in custom suits that they can keep! Really great product, don't pass it up!

I got a suitable suit for my brother in law's wedding and it was pretty amazing. The tailoring videos were great and out of the box, literally a tiny box, I only needed to get a tiny adjustment to my pants. The entire suit fit like a glove and it's a suit I continue to wear constantly for special work occasions or whenever I need a fitted jacket. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive, helping me out when I did not understand a term or two for the measurements part. Overall grand experience. I don't know much about the supply line behind the business but the feel of the suit is very good, and the quality has been top notch as it wear it every opportunity I get and it holds up very nicely needing only to be cleaned about once a year if that.

Totally recommend the suit and company. Quality suit for under $400.

I actually heard about Suitable from a buddy of mine who ordered a tuxedo from them and I was really impressed with the product. I didn't have it in me to spend a lot on something I couldn't try on first as I also seem to find myself either returning or never wearing clothing items I order online (I'm 6', 195lbs) but the suit cost just shy of 400 and the measurement videos were pretty easy to follow. In truth the closest competitor I found was roughly 100 dollars more expensive so I felt like I was getting a deal and I liked the look so I went for it. I received a product with which I was really pleased. Detailed stitching and a comfortable fit. For me, it was well worth the money. I say go for it.

Great suit, and fantastic customer service. I just ordered one for my wedding and the pants came back sightly small, most likely a measuring error on my part. I was remeasured by there stylist and within 2 days they were already making me a new pair of pant. If you need to set up an appt to get fitted schedule one with Kris, she is fantastic. I will definitely be ordering from this company again.

I'm interested also but no pics? The recommendations sound like spam to me.

Here we go again, a brand few if anyone has heard of and we get FOUR newcomers saying how wonderful it is. What absolute nonsense, do you think people are fools and would believe any of you?

Hey guys, Ray here, I founded Suitable. Totally understand the skepticism, since often times brands will pose as fake customers to write reviews. Here's the reason you're getting some newbies writing responses. When we have customers say "Loved the clothes, love the experience, do you do reviews on your site?" To which we say "No, we don't do reviews on our site. But if you would like to share, we would love it if you shared it on public forums like styleforum." So that's the reason why. Happy to share some customer photos if that would be helpful!

Anybody have any more recent reviews of Suitable? Their inventory has changed, their prices have gone up, and they have a beautifully designed website. $595 is a lot to gamble on a suit that you've never tried on.

Wow, I love this forum always brings a lot of "1 post" people to the keyboards, whenever a place needs a review. LOL :)

So I found this site yesterday looking for a review, decided to make an account and ask a question. Is there anything really wrong with that? I just made the account, do you expect me to have 100 posts already.

Work on that.
