30-35 years ago I was given implicit instructions by one of the owners of the Huberds Shoe Grease Company. I have followed them ever since.

Those instructions showed me to heavily coat, with a brush, my foot and other leather items I wanted to treat, put them in direct sunlight and allow it to be absorbed. Repeat if wanted.

Those instructions work when using their product, your statement is incorrect.

Holy shit.  Those are beautiful.  Who makes those?  The "Baker's" insignia makes me thing they may be Drew's.

Edit:  and any idea what tannery they got the shell from?  Is that horween?  I'd be surprised if they bought something from outside of the US, but you never know given the shell shortage.

Anyone know if any online or retail stores are having sales on the Red Wing Heritage or Wolverine 1000 mile lines? I'm having a hard time finding stores that carry either or.

There likely are, but I would check the Red Wing and Wolverine 1000 mile threads, as well as the sale alert threads.

This thread is for boots from the Pacific Northwest (White's, Nick's, Viberg, Drew's, Dayton's, etc.), so a lot of members here won't have their fingers on the pulse of RW/Wolverine sales.

Try looking up dtmsell on ebay he has sold them on ebay over the last year or so for very good pricing.

This thread keeps dying so let me try to revive it. Anyone get some good new PNW boots? Have plans for some in the future? It has been about 7 weeks since I ordered my brown waxed flesh boots from Vermilyea Pelle. Not sure how far along they are since Dustin hasn't responded yet. I don't fault him since he is running a one man show. I bought a pair of Danner Acadias to use for work (military) and general winter use. I also have a pair of Danner Mountain Light Overtons on the way.

Cathpah just got some Dayton Service boots in from the Reddit group order so maybe he will share some pics here.

Those Vibram 705 soles and heels just overwhelmed those who never saw them before..

Just sent some 18 inch Boss Black boots in to get double leather &  midsoled half topped with Carolina if they can find or 705 stiched on in white with +1/2 full block Catspaw heels finished in brown.

The 705 is the half sole version of the 700?

Hey guys, meeting in a new room I see ;/)

In talks with Kyle about the Wesco oxfords, a basic black JH in lace to toe is my next oxford but he told me that they JUST release the William Robert, an actual Brogue! A pic is on their website under the mens custom page, and I will be getting a pair of these when my credit card cools off.
My question is about sizing. I spoke to one of the fitters at wesco and he said that I should go up 1/2 size from my jobmaster size as the last is lower and flatter on the oxford. Considering I don't own any Wesco's I have no frame of reference. I wear a 10.5e in white's semi dress and retro oxford. Anyone here have a pair of JH classics and if so, how do they compare in fit to white's sizing?

Would you please post the data to back that opinion.

Because both pair in that series of pictures absorbed all the coating as brushed heavily on, and turned out perfectly flexible and water resistant, just like Huberds was developed to accomplish.

Matter of fact, there are additional pics of one pair in the 8/11 post showing how nice and evenly they turned out after wearing a couple of times. :fonz:

PS I just ordered another gallon of Bick-4 for fall/winter season treating of my boots and leather jackets from Big Dee supply for $46 plus shipping...very very low cost source for this maintenance product.
