thank you for your heart-Veldt comments. back to my question - anyone have experience with Veldt shoes?

Kai posted something about some C&J veldtschoen boots (Snowdons?) in my "foul weather shoes" thread a couple of weeks ago. I wouldn't want Snowdons for a daily wear shoe, but they seem like a great shoe for bad weather. As far as the Cheaneys go, aren't those one of the "any width as long as it's UK F" shoes? My feet are too narrow for those, but if you fit a US E, they might be good.

I have Trickers veldtschoen boots. Veldtschoen construction is a kind of stitch down construction, so it is more flexible than regular welted construction.

Veldtschoen shoes/boots are waterproof construction and a kind of heavy work shoes/boots, so they are worn with thick socks generally. I'm slightly narrow width(US C width), but Trickers veldtschoen boots(UK E width) fit me well with thick socks. Edward Green is also making veldtschoen shoes/boots(pet names are Dundee/Galway). Since Edward Green accepts a personal order(this is not bespoke), you can buy veldtschoen on your favorite Edward Green's last, if you need it.
