@ThinkDerm  - Thanks.

Was told by my tailor, that the fabric I had bought for the wintercoat wasn't the best, and that I probably should expect it not to hold out for many years :S

The color is something between light and mid blue (the pictures doesn´t do it justice) and I guess I made the classic mistake by not going for something safe for my first jacket (that´s how it goes when you choose from swatches in a dark hotel room.) Nonetheless, I´m pleased and find the jacket quite promising.

What are you talking about? That's a great colour for spring/summer. Maybe not what you were aiming for, but I am sure you will find tremendous use for a jacket in this colour and weave. I find that many of the garments which I was rather unsure of at the time of purchase are the ones I enjoy the most because they open up new possibilities.

@IJReilly Thanks! I'm actually quite happy with the colour, even if I was aiming for something slightly darker. I guess it's a learning process. Above all I'm tremendously happy with the style and cut.

Last fitting for my new coat from Dalcuore and (unfortunately no fit pics) of a Fox flannel DB suit.

That is going to be one helluva DB suit.

I met Dalcuore's wife off chance last month in Italy, riding the funicolare. She helped us figure out where to go, and mentioned her husband was in NYC for a "convention." I thought "he's gotta be a tailor." Sure enough when I followed up she confirmed he was a tailor and told me his name. She was super nice!

That's a great coat!

It looks like your tailor has a strip of the overcoat cloth hanging around his neck - is he planning to make a belt with it?

Haha that's funny. I think they live in Vomero, so they always have to use the funicolare. Anyway, actually her husband isn't a tailor, only her father is a tailor.

Thanks! They call this fabric The Regent Check.

Yes, they will also make a optional belt, but no belt loops on the coat, because I guess I'll wear the coat mostly without the belt.

I'm getting a strong bathrobe vibe from this coat.

I like all the art on the walls, though.

Maybe because that's the idea behind that coat.

OMG so in your face!!!

OK, so the idea is a bathrobe. What is the application? I'm sure it will be pretty absorbent after a shower, but surely there are easier ways?

I have no idea what he was trying to say when he said he was inspired by a bathrobe. Was that intended to be a "I don't give a fuck what you think, I love cosplay" response?
