Instakopped this Stooges on Farfetch for $1000 even, Moody FW14 (YKK Zipper :p) A few questions, Not that I don't think it's legit because the pattern and detailing is similar to other Rick Jackets, however the tag is notably different even compared to my other Italy and Moldova jackets. The leather feels super thin, though it feels ok, it doesn't wow me. The interior pocket zippers are much tinier than on any other interior Rick zip i've had. Finally, the tag says LGI (can't find any info on this other than a japanese website that says it's Sheep) however it doesn't state what kind of leather it is on the tag like other Rick jackets. It looks similar to the other Full Grain stooges Sinned posted however it's definitely not as thick. Not really sure if I should keep or not and wait for another price drop on a full grain calf.
see below, info on LGI code from @nicelynice
Stay away from the glass ice lamb unless you specifically want a thinner, smooth lamb Rugged lamb is much more substantial Edit: this is rugged lamb http://www.deepinsideinc.com/item.php?id=43160
Glass ice is code LGI, it's been available for the past couple seasons at a lower price than most other leathers

LGI is lamb - the I stands for "ice" effect or something. Unfortunately this actually means just shiny, thin lamb leather. It's been used on a lot of recent season Made in Moldova leathers (see most Forward FWRD stock). Not sure about the tag, it looks a little different but not in a fake way.

Thank you! I don't notice a shiny ice effect like the ones on FWRD but that makes a lot of sense. I have another Moldova calf from their first Moldova season and the stitching absolutely blows this one out of the water but the leather is like a really tough raw calf and almost feels too aggressive to wear casually. Might just wait til the full grain calf on porter hits 50% off though.

Awesome, thanks Sinned, yeah the leather on here is definitely way thin and flimsy, might just have to return

I never claimed to be an expert, LGI is a new code that only shows up in Nicely Nice's posts on SZ and SF. Further, I only wanted to correct you about the YKK zippers only being used in one season. They've been used since around Mountain and include this current FW14 jacket and the new SS15 Pre Co. I still think you're shady and a scammer but thats another topic.

LGI has been around for seasons and seasons. So apparently you're clueless and a hypocrite. Enjoy your sale priced item fucknuts. And enjoy your time on SZ, everyone of import is gone anyway, now it's 22 year olds asking what to cop and worshipping at the altar of the dwarf.

Dude, that was pure BS. Kunk is a well known poster and my friend did business with him. He is not a scammer.

Hi,

Long time lurker and new to RO leather here. This talk of Italy and Moldova has gotten me confused. Isn't FW2014 Stooges in heavy calf made in Moldova? Mine says it is. However, when I look at the Brooklyn Idol's website, it says Made in Italy. Are there two versions? Any insight is appreciated.

the cheaper leathers (LGI, basic calf, in the $1800-2400 range) are made in moldova and the better quality lathers (usually $2500+) are made in italy. he should just make the basic leathers drkshdw and drop them to $1500 he'd make a killing

With all due respect dude, I have personal experience with him trying to pull a fast one on me. Kunk fucked up a sale of mine over 2 years ago on this very forum by purchasing a RO beanie and never sending payment, even though he promised and pleaded for weeks that he had sent it. I had to open up an investigation with Paypal only to find that he never did send a payment and finally he just disappeared. I called him out on SZ but it seems like he was already well known for doing these kinds of things. I was finally able to sell the beanie but it took much longer than I had anticipated. From that point on I've always ignored his posts until recently when he claims something that just isn't factual like current season Rick not being YKK.

It might still be made in Moldova. Most retailers simply assume its made in italy without checking. This has happened to me a number of times.

I think its a mistake. The tag on mine says designed and packaged in italy but made in moldova. Why would he have 2 heavy calf stooges. Email Idol and have them check the tag...

Thanks for the quick replies. I guess Stooges at around $2450 retail sit just below the threshold.
